Dr. Kurt Robert Oelke, MD

Very pleased with Dr Oelke, I've had back pain for quite awhile now, was referred by my Chiropractor. He took time going over my symptoms, how long I've had them etc. Gave me a few options and his feelings on where to start. Most impressive was the time he spent with me, I never felt rushed (as with my pcp) and he really listened. I'm excited and feel upbeat for the 1st time in months to see how the line of treatment will improve my quality of life. If not the 1st course of action he has other ideas as well. Highly recommend.

Was referred to him and my first appointment was told I'm making up my symptoms and probably just used to being "sick". Gave me no information even though I had been hospitalized and advised that I had positive A&A levels.. Told me when a symptom arises take a photo and bring it in to show him. My mother was also referred with major signs of Lupus, as it runs in the family, his answer was "lose some weight". She left crying. What a jerk, who is definitely not as "good" as he thinks he is. You question his "theory" due to his MANY misdiagnoses and all the sudden you become a liar who wants to "stay sick". Do not waste your time and energy seeing him.

I saw him many years with no help being offered. Ar my symptoms and and disability progressed, another physician recommended a partner in the same group, Rheumatic Disease Center. Tried to make an appointment with Dr. Berquist and was refused. "Clinic policy" is that you can NEVER see another doc in the group. What are they so afraid of? Another opinion?

Dr. Oelke has taken considerable about of time discussion my JRA at each of my visits. I have had JRA for over 45 years and he is the only one to explain to me that there are different types of JRA. We continue to work on finding effective drugs. I am impressed with his willingness to research new medications that might work for me. I have had 4 different Rhuematologists in 45 years. Dr. Oelke is the most dedicated and caring of them all.

Extremely pleased with extensive 1st visit. Very thourough and patient. Knowlegeable in the field.

He is a terrible doctor! Wanted me to wait 6 months for a 2nd appointment, and then was irritated when I called to get results of the blood test and x-rays which were useless because only an MRI will show soft tissue damage and arthritis! It took 3 calls before he even got back to me with only the message of there was no sign of RA. No other results; no help for all the pain I have. Then he prescribed 3 doses per day of 600 mg. of ibuprofen when I already have stomach issues. I wish I would of read this before wasting the money seeing him. My overall rating is 0; not even 1 star but that wasn't an option here.

A very kind and caring Dr. I appreciate his expertise as well as his patient care.

Cannot say enough about Dr Oelke and his staff.
