Dr. Kurt Alan Schroeder, MD

This doctor just cuts and sends you away. He should be called “see me in two weeks”. Fails to communicate on every level.

TERRIBLE after surgery experience! If I could, I would give ZERO stars! Schroeder sent my dad home ( 3 hour car ride) after surgery and told us he should be up and walking. The next day, My dad couldn’t get up much less walk! My mom and I tried to help him stand (he’s a big man) but he could not use his legs. We had to call paramedics to get him up off the floor! Schroeder was “unavailable” to speak with us about our concerns (because it was a holiday weekend ??) so his “fill-in” (Dr. Rivero) told us to bring my dad back to Tucson (3 more hours in the car). My dad was in the hospital for 4 days until Schroeder finally showed up! 4 days!!!! Schroeder basically blamed my mom and I for not having my dad at home and walking! He said “the hospital was the worst place for him to be” (yet that is where Rivero told us to take him!!!). Also, he blamed my dad’s difficulties standing/walking on the facts that he is “elderly and overweight “. So...my question is WHY DID YOU SEND HIM HOME… Schroeder ?????? Clearly, being old and overweight is going to make walking after surgery more difficult and you expect my tiny mom and I to pick him up! Come on!!!! Own up to your POOR decision to send him home and stop blaming his wife and daughter!! In addition to blaming us, Schroeder was rude and interrupted everything I said. He told me my dad was “just an old man who likes to sit on his butt and talk”! What a sorry excuse for a professional!!!! DO NOT trust this man with your health!!!!

Choose anyone else, they are better than Kurt Schroeder. Period.

Let’s begin with the Staff. The Doctors staff was outstanding, very pleasant and friendly. Dr Schroeder was very easy going and put me at ease right away. He explained the process, so I completely understood what was going to take place. Over the weekend, before my procedure, I was In extreme pain. I contacted his office and his staff took care of my needs. I would highly recommend Dr. Schroeder.

I'm not tied to my phone. I should not have to wait for an MA to call me back to set up an appointment. Doctors go around the patient's schedule not the other way around. Called 3 times to get an appointment and was treated very rudely. He just lost a 30 year patient thanks to his staff.

No bedside manner. Treats people terribly. He misdiagnosed my mother. He should retire!

Worst doctor I have ever seen! Arrogant, condescending, and cruel. Tried to make me feel stupid for asking questions. Do not see him

Having never met this individual prior to our appointment, I was impressed with his accolades. I was equally impressed with his attitude, but not in a positive manner. His mannerisms extrude a perceptual aura of curtness and indifference; lacking in any vestige of interpersonal skill or warmth. I've dealt with strong personalities all my life yet expected a more professional interaction than that which I encountered. When the good Dr. Schroeder climbs down from the pedestal he has built for himself and starts acting like a human being, he may find his reviews climbing up to join the high opinion he wraps himself in. I have canceled my appointments and will seek assistance elsewhere. The survey questions below are somewhat misleading. I spent the majority of my time with his staff and probably less than 10 actual minutes with him .

I have had 5 discs in my back and two in my neck repaired by Dr. Kurt Schroeder. I am 100% satisfied and would give him a 6 star rating out of 5. I wish he did shoulders.

Dr.Schroeder did my back surgery in 05 & to this day he is one of the best surgeons that in my 53 years he ranks up there with the best, thanks doc.
