Dr. Kurt A Smith, DO

Dr. Smith has been a compassionate listener, researcher of my challenging conditions, and very helpful. His staff has been wonderful, very patient with my questions, and I consider us a team!

We had exhausted all options until Dr. Smith. He had reviewed ALL of our records and had options for us. Took so much time with us and made us feel important.

Cold hearted, abrasive, cruel, sadistic SOB. There is not enough space to describe the disrespectful and harsh way I was treated by Dr Smith. I wish I had called 911. I will never be in a room alone with that monster again

I loved Dr. Kurt Smith :) He was very sweet and gentle and explained what he was doing during the testing and whether there would be any pain while doing it. He also spent the time talking to me and getting to know more about my case, that to me is huge, because some Doctors just do the job and not say anything, then kick you out the door.

Not very helpful.i dident feel very confterble with his negativity.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE person--- he is the rudest, coldest man i have had the displeasure of meeting EVER!! ... Smith, I don't know how you sleep at night or look your ugly mug in the mirror each day. My son has proven herniated discs by MRI. He treated my son so cruelly and so off handedly with NO CARE for his well being WHAT SO EVER!! My son has only gotten worse because he hasn't gotten the care he desperately needs. Iowa Ortho should be ashamed to have him in their facility. He is an embarrassment to the oath he took. NOT all people are faking injuries like you accuse them of! I was sick to my stomach after I left his office seeing how truly horrible he treated my son... I'm glad I was able to call him a jerk, -- I wanted to call him worse but I'm not lowering myself to his level. If you are on Work comp and have to go to him-- You might as well save yourself some time. He won't give you the care you need and will only think you are lying.... A HUGE disappointment....

Excellent physician. Diagnosed and treated my problem after years of others just prescribing pain pills. Mostly pain free after physical therapy and a thorough discussion of things to do and not do.

Dr. Smith has a wonderful personality and makes me feel like he genuinely cares about my mental and physical health and my family's well-being. While things have been difficult for me both mentally and physically this last year, I always feel better after meeting with him.

Avoid this Dr. at all costs. I began seeing Dr. Smith around 5 years ago following a stroke. After awhile I began to see his P.A. and as part of my pain management was put on medication. Now it came to my attention when I visited my pharmacy that the refill of my medicine would not be possible as the P.A. was no longer with them and I was to contact Dr. Smith's office. I did and was told he was withdrawing from providing any further medical services because I was " seeking and obtaining narcotics for multiple for providers." I told them that I had been seeking any narcotics and that maybe they were seeing that I had received a written prescription for 5mg percosets (14 day supply) follow a surgery to remove a testicular mass and provided all doctors and surgeons, dates times and that I filled it at my normal pharmacy with my insurance not out of pocket. Now I'm left without treatment and in pain. In my opinion he is extremely unethical. He refuses to see me to resolve this issue.
