Dr. Kush Patel, MD

Does not take care of patients post op. Can’t even get a call back from a nurse. Was seen 4 days after with an infection/granuloma. Pain and swelling have continued to get worse. Called multiple times and never had a call back from a dr or nurse. Only finally got to speak with a receptionist Brittany who said an anti inflammatory was called in. I have been taking the max otc ibuprofen and analgesics. Didn’t even attempt to have a discussion with me or change the antibiotic. This practice shouldn’t even be open ! I can assure you if this was happening to Dr Patel himself he wouldn’t send his dog back to a doctor who treated him or didn’t treat him this way! No continuity of care and in my opinion negligent!

Due to the requirements of this survey, I was forced to rate my experience as a “1” instead of the “0” it so clearly deserved. I’d like to compare my quality of care by Doctor Patel to that of a cold, lifeless fish as his bedside manner was nonexistent. When Dr. Patel entered the exam room, he was talking on his cell phone for longer than a few minutes. I thought that behavior had to be out of character, but I was wrong. From start to finish, he spent no more than 6 minutes with me. After the procedure, I felt like a cheap date. It was clear that Dr. Patel has little if any knowledge about the disease he diagnosed me with. It also seems as though he has no interest in educating himself about said disease either. I wouldn’t see Dr. Patel again if he was the last urologist on the face of this Earth and my bladder was falling out of my body. I suspect he has many lunch dates with the Drug rep from Elmiron, but it would be my unofficial medical advice to him to share more lunches with a… rep from adderall as he doesn’t know how to sit still and look at a patient while he’s talking to them. His PA, Kristen isn’t much better. Their Boris and Natasha office dynamic leaves much to be desired. I should have saved myself the trip and set my $600 ablaze.
