Dr. Kushagra Verma, MD

I went to Dr Verma for balance issues and lack of dexterity in my hands. He diagnosed deterioration of the cervical spine. He explained the problems in detail in terms that a layman could understand. He was very caring, keeping in direct contact. He answered all questions for myself and my wife. My surgery was a success and he has followed me closely to be sure all is going well. I have had several orthopedic surgeries and Dr Verma was by far the surgeon that my wife and I had the most confidence in

I visited Dr. Verma for reoccurring back pain from a previous injury. I was instantly impressed by his kind and caring manner. He carefully reviewed my case and options for me and put a plan in place. I eventually decided on surgery and am so pleased that I did. Dr. Verma is an excellent surgeon! called me at home 3 times after I was released from the hospital to make sure I didn’t need anything. You won’t go wrong with Dr. Verma!

I met Dr Verma in 2016. I was suffering from spondylosis of my spine, severe sciatic nerve pain. My quality of life at that time at 49 years old was not well. Dr Verma did all the necessary tests to pinpoint exactly what my problem was, he is very thorough. He explained everything in detail to me what was going on and what needed to happen. I ended up having to have a spinal fusion on my L4 L5. He made it a point to stop in to see me in the hospital and his bedside manner was over the top. After I got home from the hospital he would personally call me to see how I was doing. I could not have asked for a better doctor and he actually treat you like he is your friend not just your patient. I highly recommend him for anyone that is suffering from spinal pain. Dr Kushagra Verma Dr Kushgara Verma was very thorough in his assessment of my physical complaint. He compared old MRI data to the current scans. Dr Verma spent quite a while explaining the test results at several appointments and then the options to resolve the problem. I felt very at ease knowing he was doing my surgery. After surgery Dr Verma was wonderfully attentive, calling to get frequent updates and visiting 2-3 times each day. Once home he called my husband to keep abreast of my status. I trust his judgement and his ethics of his practice. His kindness was very appreciated. His office, Beach Orthopaedics in Los Alamitos, was very efficient with information and paperwork. Staff is friendly and helpful. While surgery is never “fun” my experience as a surgical patient of Dr Verma was fabulous and I trust him implicitly.

Dr Verma is very good at going over mri's and x-rays, explaining procedures and outcomes to both me and my wife. My 4th and 5th lumbar were slipped so badly that it looked like any fall or twist would cause severe problems Although I am not healing as fast as I would like I am getting better every day and my physical therapist is very encouraged at my recovery. Soon to be back on the golf course.

When I first Met. Dr. Verma, his manner was very reassuring. He very carefully reviewed my MRI with me and explained that, in his opinion, spinal surgery would be useful in alleviating balance and tingling sensations along with preventing further spinal cord damage. He strongly urged me to return with family members to discuss my diagnosis and forms of treatment which further impressed me and he suggested I get a second opinion if I needed further confirmation. I also appreciated his conservative approach regarding the surgery because, after much thought, he felt that only one area was necessary instead of the two places we had talked about. His very professional yet warm treatment has been so much appreciated. I strongly recommend Dr. Verma for surgery and treatment of the spine.

I occasionally have very severe neck injuries that leave me completely debilitated. when I saw Dr. Verma he didn’t do an examination or imaging and told me to take ibuprofen and try mindfulness. He then informed me he’d be leaving his practice at UW and left the room.

It has been three months since surgery and I am finally free of my tailbone pain after seven years. I am so happy I decided to go forward with the surgery with Dr. Verma. Dr. Verma and the UW team were incredible: kind, professional, and highly skilled. When health challenges hit our family, we not only needed a partner in the healthcare with shared values but also with the best professional practice in the industry. We got both in Dr. Verma. He became the source of calm in the midst of the turbulent and violent health storm our family was in the midst of. Dr. Verma was… always compassionately patient with her, and his calm demeanor gave my mother-in-law a lot of confidence and faith that she will be fine with the surgery. Surgery was the last thing she wanted and before meeting Dr. Verma, she dreaded the idea of having a second surgery on her back. Her fears were all put to rest when she met Dr. Verma. Even after the surgery, Dr. Verma was as involved in the care for my mother-in-law and practically became like a family member who passionately cared for her full and quick recovery.
