I (54) went in this morning with an informed request for estrogen and progesterone for my SEVERE menopausal symptoms, and walked out with a suggestion to try an SNRI antidepressant that, if it works at all, offers ~50% decrease in hot flashes and does NOTHING for the other issues that are common in menopause, it causes bedroom dysfunction in ~70% of patients and increases brain fog. I feel ignored and disrespected.

Saved my life delivering my first baby, went to him for my second despite moving 2 hours away and knew exactly what to do to help prevent and prepare for similar complications. And I’m still driving just over two hours for my third pregnancy to keep him. He, and his staff are friendly and have great bed side manners

I waited half an hour sitting basically naked on a table for an appointment which lasted 5 minutes. It felt as if he did not even look at my chart before entering the room because he did not know my name (or ask for it), knew nothing of my medical history or what my appointment was for. He made no notes during the appointment or even log into the computer, and asked only a fraction of the questions usually asked during an annual visit. He gave no warning before the exam began and failed to explain any of the procedures. He did not tell me what tests were being done or why they were being done. Aside from the few questions he asked, he said nothing to me the entire appointment. His highest priority was getting through the appointment as quickly as possible. He had no regard for patient care, comfort, or concerns. I would avoid this doctor.
