Dr. Kwang Joo Lee, MD

I have an occlusion in my left eye. It occurred suddenly and our ophthalmologist sent us to Dr. Lee immediately. I have such confidence in Dr. Kwang Lee. He was a fellow student with my daughter-in-law's brother Armitage Harper. I'm in Chandler, AZ outside Phoenix and need a referral to a good retina specialist again please. Thank you.

Nearly a three hour wait just to get in the room. Ridiculous, they over book appointments.

Came in for exam with healthy eyes now after pupil dilation my eyes won't stop tearing his assistant claims I had a server allergic reaction had eyes dilated on Tuesday it Saturday still tears I express to him I needed to see an allergist he refused I still shaky my eyes are tender from continuous tearing both my eyes were red and swollen around the perimeters he will not respond to my out cry for help I will visit my regular doctor today help help help he is a very very bad doctor .. I am praying for my eyes to stop tearing they never ever teared until they dilated my eyes plese beware this doctor refused medical attention to me

He is a good retina specialist. First, he correctly diagnosed my age-related macular degeneration. Then I had to go to him for an emergency appointment where something caused near blindness in one eye. He diagnose this a gave me the lowdown which was to have a series of shots in my eye about every week The thought is painful enough, but the doctor and his assistants have it down. The only pain is afterwards from the disinfectant use. I even went to the University of Miami to get a second opinion and they gave me the same opinion. One thing not so good is that Dr. Lee can't spend much time giving out information, or at least he does not seem ready to help on other eye problems. The staff are all very professional, and that includes the reception areas.

The doctor was ok my main concern was the front office staff I was a new patient that personally decided to go with another location due to lack of customer service. There was a few employees that were great others not so. One lady name shuana was very rude and made Me feel as if I were a bug on the wall bothering her as soon as walking into the office she approached me as very defensive and attitudinal she basically threw the paperwork at me and demanding I pay her before taking a look at my paperwork she was very rude and down right mean to other employees her own peers she seems to have a lot going on that she has to talk to her peers as children. One lady was a delight her name was Kathy I believe she had great customer service

I was an emergency pt and I can understand the wait as I had no appointment. The wait was worth being treated by Dr Lee

In the year 2000, I was visiting Las Vegas. I am a Brazilian resident and had the misfortune of a detached retina episode. On a Sunday afternoon, close to dinner time, DR Kwang Lee was summoned to the ER I had been referred too. The diagnostic was precise, and Dr. Lee recommended immediate surgery. My health plan authorized the procedure and by 10 pm Sunday I was on the surgery room. Dr. Leess work was extremely professional, and all went well. My sight was back in a couple of month, and the acuity was almost the same as before the surgery. A can say I own my sight to the help and skills of Dr. Kwang Lee. Every time I go back to the USA I make a point to drop by for a follow up review.
