Dr. Kyaw Htin, MD

I seen Dr.Htin for 5 years!! He helped me so much with my pain. After 5 years of seeing him his Nurse Practitioner went in with another Dr that I had never ever seen and dismissed me for something that happened 5 months prior. Dr.Htin was on Vacation, so he had no ideal. The NP had tried to dismiss me a couple months prior but Dr.Htin would not agree. I always came in with my counts and passed every drug screen. I disagreed with her over my treatment and she wanted me gone. 3 years have passed and I miss him as my Dr and his amazing team!!

Was referred to this doctor for injections by Tri-West, VA Health insurance. After one month of research trying to find a doctor that didn't want to perform surgery on me, and reading reviews of drs, I gave the ok to the VA to refer me to him, called the dr's office to make sure that I would be accepted but after a month of waiting for help, having info faxed to them, etc, I was informed that I was rejected as a patient due to the fact that I had pain management in the past at the VA Medical Center. However, the VA no longer performs injections & sends US Veterans to drs outside of the VA. I give this doctor and staff an EXTREMELY POOR REVIEW for giving this Veteran, the VA Medical Ctr & your US tax dollars the run-around. I'm now in search of a good dr & HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A GOOD DR & STAFF. He doesn't have good reviews but I assumed it was due to people not getting pain medication or a bad bedside manner but that was obviously wasn't the case. Good Luck… to all that suffer!

So today was my second visit for pain management. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and came back. My appointment was for 9:40. The waiting room was not busy, so I thought great. It won't take long. At 12, I asked why it was taking so long. I was told, "oh he takes his sweet time doing anything he wants. Right now, he's just sitting there.". Another half hour passed before he finally came in. When he got around to the procedure, he did not properly numb me, for the second time in a row. I will have a new doc the next time

I had to leave there to find a Family Dr that would wean me off all the Opiates he had me on. He never told me of any side effects or mentioned not to drink on them. Constantly giving me false information about what procedures he could perform with my insurance. Used a scalpel to punish me for saying that I thought he hadn't used enough skin numbing medication the visit before. felt like a swarm of bees was stinging my lower back for the following week. I didn't know this was unusual as it was only my third visit. I stayed becouse I needed the medication and he was more than happy to give it out Four 10 MGS Morphine, Gabapentin, Xanax, from a different Dr. and Ambien 12.5 . every day. Very rude to me and his nurses. Called one of them his angel of death. but he used those meds to insure I would KEEP COMING BACK. Tell I hit rock bottom. Never even hear about Tramadol or Radiofrequency ablation until I found a decent clinic. Do not let him alone with you!

Very long wait times. Had me on 7 diff pain meds because i trusted him- only spends 2 min w his patients. Did not fully explain anything to me & at each apt just kept increasing my meds. I just got worse & worse. My kids lost their mother because i became a zombie and slept all the time. When i decided to cut myself down off all the meds he wasnt supportive at all- would not even write a script for dihareha. He did say i could come in and get my pain med refill. You miss 1 apt and they cut you right off- or try to send you to the joke of a saturday clinic he has as well. I suffereed extremely coming off my meds 15 days straight w no sleep. I have never ever been through something so hellish. Wouldnt you know off the meds i still have pain but im not a zombie anymore. This guy is a quack and the reason i lost 2 yrs of my life. I almost died. If you value your life i repeat do not go to this dr.

I went to see Dr. Htin when my last pain management physician wouldn't do anymore for me to stop my continuous pain. Dr. Htin tried several different medications until we found the right one that would help me tolerate my pain but it never went away. He is very patient with me on my questions and concern listening the whole time and then gives his opinion, etc.

Dr. Htin is an excellent I WOULD Recommend HIM to anyone and his staff

I love Dr Htin even though he forgets my name sometimes. He is very professionsl, and has a sense of humor about himself.

I have been with dr Htin since 2007. I have had major pain from a car wreck and a bad back from working injury. I had epidural after epidural and he medicated me to the max after that. Now he uses the medicine as control over me. He has even said to me I'm gona cut you back as punishment for over using my medicine when I wasn't even doing that. He is the rudist and most unprofessional doctor I have ever been to. Same as some others on here his staff is the same way. I have done everything by the books with him and he spends like 1 minute at Ju appointments and then writes whatever he wants for my medicine. He is a joke

I have been with Dr. Htin for about 7 years now and I can't agree with the negative comments here. Dr. Htin is the best pain management Doctor out there, if you do what you're supposed to do then you won't have any problems. I agree with the other person that said, " if you are a drug seeker he will weed you out quick" he is very caring and listens, which is very rare in this practice. Dr. Htin has always treated me with the upmost respect, and has helped me a lot.. He truly cares..
