Dr. Kyja Karolina Stygar, MD

It appears if you are semi-cognizant of your own health then you will treated with contempt and ridicule. Maybe it’s an affront to her intellect or she’s wants people to feel embarrassed and confused. Stay away!

I love Dr. Stygar. She spends so much time with me. She listens and is direct with me.

We visited the Er around May of 2014, Dr Stygar was the Dr on call. We brought my dad, who suffered from the first stages of pancreatic cancer in with stomach pain. Usually when this happens they perform an ng, which gets rid of the built up fluids in his stomach..it had happened several times prior to this visit. When the Dr came in, we told her the situation, and how they usually diagnose it. She wasn't having any of that, and in a condescending matter proceeded to tell us, she didn't like performing Ng' s, and gave him 2 enemas, and sent him on his way..with no relief, and a bloated stomach. After a night of vomiting, we ended up back in the Er with a new Dr...Dr. Rosas, who thankfully listened to our concerns, and did the ng. My dad's pain, an bloating went away almost immediately. They decided to keep him for a few days to empty out all the fluid. She was the least professional, most arrogant person who I have ever dealt with at that hospital, and I believe she… treats her nurses with disrespect as well.

Dr. Stygar has been my family physician for approximately 10 years. I have had several serious medical issues which she handled very well. She is very direct (which I appreciate!) and her nurse just couldn't be nicer! I have never had an issue getting in to see her, even though she seems to be a very popular doctor. I wish she had privleges at a different hospital as I am not particularly fond of Red Cedar. Overall, she is a fantastic doctor!

People warned me about this doctor, but I was never sick in my life, and she signed my script. She seemed very nice at my first visit, but now I know her 'other' side - the one everyone warned me about. She is arrogant, opinionated, and in my case, just plain flat - deadly - wrong. I did get sick - 2 years ago - and she insisted I follow her orders. Okay, I said I'd trust her - after all, she had trusted me. Big mistake. I would have died last year if my neighbor hadn't taken me to a REAL hospital with REAL doctors. Better know your internal medicine if you go to this monster. Even after my biopsy she refused to believe I was in renal failure - for years - even when all my tests suggested this. I think she black-balled me at the hospital/clinic as well, because everyone else I tried there went along with her incompetent diagnosis.
