Dr. Kyla Leleux Lokitz, MD

Dr. Lokitz is incredibly thorough, kind, patient, and brilliant. She diagnosed me almost immediately. She is not afraid to try less traditional treatments or to get creative based on a patients response to other meds. Although I have found the wait times to be painful, I know it is because of the amount of time that she spends with each patient. I am moving soon, and she is the doc that I will miss the most.

Dr. Lokitz knew as soon as she walked in and looked at my hands and knew what was wrong..I've hide my hands cause they are ugly and huge to me (I'm a female)..I always just thought my hands were suppose to look like this..Dr. Lokitz explains things to you so you understand it as well. Her staff is wonderful. I am beyond blessed Dr .Baker got me to her .. I highly recommend Dr. Lolitz to everyone.

I've been a patient for 7+ years and have never had a better doctor! She has always been professional and I have recommended her my wife and friends. Her entire practice can be relied upon to treat you as a person and not a number which happens more and more in our medical facilities! If you are looking for a difference in how you are treated then go see Dr. Lokitz.

First I would like to acknowledge Dr Lokitz is definitely knowledgeable and professional. I have zero doubt she is absolutely brilliant. She is not equally gifted with the ability to communicate that information to patients nor is she willing to spend the time & effort during appointments attempting to change that. This is hard to write. I have psoriatic arthritis and other autoimmune conditions. I had so many miserable years before starting with Dr Lokitz because PsA was not diagnosed and remained untreated by other doctors I saw. She declared the probability of PsA within five minutes of my initial appointment. What a relief to at least know I was not a hypochondriac or crazy after years of being told it was depression, thyroid, weight, etc... She ran relatively thorough tests that did confirm my PsA. The nursing staff and lab techs are so fantastic. They make you feel like family and remember you between visits. They take time to listen to questions and provide… excellent bed side care. The administrative staff is a complete opposite in the level of service. They are less enjoyable than the DMV on a bad day. Do not expect help resolving insurance issues. Just expect to sign in and pay whatever amount they kurtly tell you at each visit. That is just the way it is there. Dr Lokitz is incredibly busy and appointment availability is bleak. Expect very long wait times for every visit. I rarely had the option of seeing her within the time she specified at each appointment even when I asked for the first available appointment for follow up before leaving each appointment. I usually had to wait one or two months longer each time. On the two occassions I had to reschedule my visits, my wait time increased to several more months of waiting for an appointment even with being on the list of available for last minute cancellations. This is frustrating but not the reason I am leaving Dr Lokitz. Dr Lokitz was clear from day one that she does not treat pain. I cannot fathom why she refuses to address pain for patients after diagnosing them with chronic conditions such as PsA. She referred me to a pain specialist who I still have not been able to see because they don't accept my insurance. I explained this to her and she has not been willing to provide alternative options. This is STILL not the deciding factor for leaving Dr Lokitz. Dr Lokitz will not spend more than 10 minutes at the VERY MOST with any patient. That includes initial screening, surgical consultations, medicine changes, and everything else. I am very frustrated that such long wait times for limited appointment availability and RUDE admin staff are followed up with unwillingness to spend time answering questions and coordinating care. I have tried multiple strategies to make this work. I have emailed and called the nurse with questions. I have done a tremendous amount of educating myself on my condition and medication to avoid needing help understanding things. I have typed questions I could not get answered with my own research or during appointments with my other specialists. I took my typed questions to appointments. I emailed the questions to the nurse a few days before the last few visits. Dr Lokitz flat out told me she will never spend time enough to answer a dozen questions with any patient. I consider this unacceptable. I have never been provided any explanation beyond a basic diagnosis for any of the tests I have received under her care. It takes months for any basic info to be sent to my referring Doctor and it is so vauge it is basically useless when they receive it. I am not sure what type of PsA I have. I have no idea how much damage it has done to my body. I have very little quality of life based on chronic pain and faitigue. I need help. After referring me to one pain doctor and one physical therapist, she just comes into appointments to tell me what medicine changes she is making and when to come back. Each time she reminds me she does not treat pain. Ok.... She has not been willing to refer me to other pain doctors or physical therapists that will see me based on my insurance. I hate to start over somewhere else but I do not want to be so disabled at 43 years old if I can avoid it. I wish others seeking help all the best. I do recommend seeking a diagnosis from Dr Lokitz even if you decide to then go elsewhere for treatment. She is incredibly intelligent. She does not have the patience for bed side care.

Staff was friendly. Doctor listened to what I told her and examined me accordingly. If she hadn’t I would have given up on doctors again. I have been in pain every day and night never ceasing for years. Don’t judge others pain. They keep moving to keep moving. The staff was friendly. I am awaiting test results.

Waiting to see Dr Lokitz may take a while, but she is worth the wait. She was the first DR to order tests that other Dr's had overlooked. She has helped me have faith after loosing trust and hope in other specialist. I highly recomend her and cant say enough good things about her and how she looks at her patients as a whole.

I have had 6 different Rheumatologists over the past 12 years in 4 different states.. Some care and some don't. She is definitely one who cares and listens to you and that I trust to care of me and my medical needs. I have not had any problems with the staff. They have returned my calls and been polite and nice when I'm in the office or on the phone.

I was referred to Dr. Lokitz four years ago upon diagnosis. I found her to be a very nice lady, interested and caring. Not knowing a thing about my illness I had no idea if she was handling it properly or not. I stayed with it until we hit a plateau and stalled out. She kept repeating the same procedure even tho it had not worked before. On the 4th attempt I got a second opinion. The new doctor took on the same procedure so after several months I have returned to Dr. Lokitz. Things are running more smoothly in the office. I'm not sure Dr. Lokitz is the doctor for my issues but she and her staff show a good response when I need them, that's worth a lot. Follow up was much more prompt this last visit which was my first one back to her office. Also time spent in the waiting room has greatly diminished this last visit, it was getting to be an hour or an hour and a half in the past----too long.

Dr lokitz is very kind and listens to you she has great bedside manner and does her best to take care of you in every way that she can . Shes a very knowledgeable dr. I've been a parient with her for over 5 years .
