Kyle Allen Barnack, MD

Dr. Barnack specializes in pediatric critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s. He joined the hospital staff in 2026.

He earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Levine Children’s Hospital at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he also served as chief resident. He then completed a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Johns Hopkins All Children’s.

His research interests include inclusive and equitable care as delivered through point-of-care ultrasound, and the identification of mitigatable social factors that influence pediatric critical illness, with a special interest in the population of children with type 1 diabetes specific to presentation and readmission of diabetic ketoacidosis.
