Dr. Kyle Wayne Herbold, MD

Did not diagnose a serious skin condition discovered a few months late by another dermatologist. Billed me for unsuccessful treatment that should have been covered by my insurance, then refused to reconsider his decision.

Dr Herbold was professional and friendly, but he wouldn't spend time with me. I had many questions which he didn't have time to answer because he had to get on to the next patient. He didn't explain the medications and how to use them. He sent his nurse in, and when I asked her questions she didn't know either, so had to go out and ask him. I have a long drive to make my appointments and expect my doctors to take the time to make me feel cared for and confident in how to use medications he prescribes. I finally had to ask these questions of my pharmacist. Thank goodness for him! I was having quite a bit of pain and trouble walking due to my condition, so asked for some pain medication. He gave me 10. Well, that didn't last very long so a month and a half later I called and asked for more. Someone named Monica told me that hey were a dermatology office and they didn't do that. My being a patient under their care didn't make a difference. I was told I had to call my GP for… pain medication. WHAT!?!? It wasn't my GP treating me, it was Dr Herbold. That just didn't make any sense to me. I was, and still am baffled about that. I'm thankful for my wonderful GP. Needless to say I won't be going back and am looking for a new doc to go to. And by the way, be careful - when he leaves the room he never comes back!!! So... make sure you have all your concerns and questions addressed before he goes out that door!!
