Dr. Kyle D Hogg

I began seeing Dr. Hogg in Feb 2023. Had lost a molar so i went to him looking for an implant. On consultation he determined i needed a lot more work than just an implant. He did a molar extraction, osseous surgery (full mouth), bone grafts (full mouth), tissue graft (lower right cuspid/bicuspid). He did excellent work. Finally in Dec 2023 we were ready for a bridge. The molar he had extracted was between two implants. The crowns had to be removed from the implants to place the bridge. While removing one of the crowns the implant came out. This can happen. But maybe never happened to him before. I was not very concerned because i had the luxury of knowing i had an excellent dentist. He was disappointed. He said 'I'll phone you later in the week with a treatment plan' and left the room. Never heard from him again. Left him an encouraging pmail a couple weeks later. No response. Left another encouraging pmail a few weeks later. No response. A month or so later i… thought well, maybe i should just show up. Phoned the office to get an appointment for a consultation. They said they could not make an appointment because there was no 'treatment plan' but they would put a note on his desk saying i had phoned. No response. Waited a month or so and sent an email requesting either an appointment or the return of 5k+ that i had paid for the bridge. No response. Finally in late April, just two days after i had retained a lawyer, a lady from his office phoned and said they were prepared to send me a check for $5100.00. No explanation. Just a check. Lawyer said he had not yet contacted them. They returned my money on their own initiative. Summary: 1. If you are looking for a good, highly skilled dentist with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and procedures Dr. Hogg is your man. 2. Have a plan B. Perhaps an appointment with another dentist that you can keep rescheduling in case you suddenly get the boot. 3. Try not to pay for services in advance unless required because if you do get the boot it may take some time to get your money back.

Dr. Hogg was above excellent in his communicative approach regarding his tactical objectives, projected consequences, as related to my concerns as a patient and layman. Would highly recommend him to anyone seeking implant technology and optional guidance.
