I am a man in my 50's who discovered a couple years ago that I likely have Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. This explains a lifetime of chronic pain caused by rib head subluxations & lumbrosacral & cervical spinal stenosis. I grew up frequently visiting a chiropractor who would SNAP, CRACKLE, & POP me back into alignment only to see me visit the next week completely out of whack, again! I eventually stopped seeing chiropractors once I became an adult, believing they were all quacks. I suffered for over 30 years with constant pain & limited motion. Early in 2026 my pain specialist wasn't able to help relieve the constant, searing pain in my Trapezius Rhomboid region with numbness down my arm. I was referred to a spinal surgeon. Not wanting to go under the knife, I searched the Ehlers-Danlos Society website & found Dr. KYLE KOERNER with KC CHIRO listed. Dr. Koerner listened to my concerns & confirmed that he was experienced in working with hEDS patients. He had to use a more gentle… adjustment method so my body wouldn't rebel against harsh adjustments. In a matter of weeks the pain & numbness in my upper back & arm were gone & I have full range of motion again. I started with twice a week visits 3 months ago & now I'm visiting once every 2-3 weeks, mainly for maintenance. I still have chronic pain, but it is more manageable, now. Dr. Koerner's method of care is a stark contrast to another of my caregivers who is extremely dismissive & counters any mention I make of hEDS with, "You can't trust Dr. Google!" or, "EDS is so extremely rare, it's all in your head. You really should seek psychiatric care about this." Being listened to & believed by your medical provider is a form of soothing medicine on its own. It has been a real privileged being under Dr. Koerner's care. Our visits are more of a collaborative experience rather than an "adjustment." He listens to me & is willing to learn when I discover something new about my condition. He encourages me to share it with him so he can use it to better serve his other patients with hEDS. I highly recommend Dr. Koerner because I am confident he will provide you with the relief you seek & deserve. Oh yeah, the office experience is very good, as well. Usually appointments start & end right on time. The few times I've had to wait have been very short. There are no complaints from me!
