Dr. Kyle Shigeru Matsumura, MD

Go in with pain, go out without it! He is an amazing doctor who will actually listen to you. He uses his tremendous skill and vast knowledge to give comfort and relief to his patients. He is truly exceptional.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Kyle Matsumura for over 10 years. My first appointment with him gave me hope that he could help me with the back pain I have suffered with for most of my life. He was the first doctor who talked about the different treatments he could do to help me! He has prescribed medication that has helped and I’m careful to never take more than the dosage he prescribed. He has given me many procedures using a tiny needle and a fluoroscope to be sure the numbing medication and then a long acting steroid go directly where they need to go. He has also performed a procedure where he uses radio waves to burn the nerves that were causing severe pain. He has so much compassion for his patients! My daughter has wanted my husband and I to move to Idaho, but I told her that I just can’t give up Dr. Matsumura as my pain doctor. I highly recommend him to anyone that needs help dealing with extreme pain!! He has truly changed my quality of life life for the better!

I have recommended Dr. Kyle Matsumura to many family and friends. I have been to other doctors for help with my pain, and did some good but not much. I could do all kinds of activities after Dr. Matsumura's treatment.

I saw Dr Matsumura for many years, because i could not leave work for a pill count i was discharged as his patient . I was treated by his nurse Heather as a criminal. I never abused or asked for early refills. I had procedures that were recomended. I was compliant, I just could not lose my job. This clinic should have later hours so that the working patients can get in so they can do the count. anyways, I was left with just a Beta Blocker drug for withdraw.Its a darn shame you are treated as if you had done something wrong or illegal. I feel a doctor who specializes in this practice should not be so quick to just toss his patient aside and move on to the next. I was left on my own to deal with all the withdraws from the meds he prescribed !!! There should be some new laws in place to help the patients that need some kind of weaning off of meds. Be very careful when taking these medications for pain. The doctor does not care about the pain you will have when he decides he no longer… wants to see youfor whatever reason . This nurse Heather has had so many complaints from others she should have her license revoked by the state. She seems to enjoy leaving messages that terminate his patients. Thank God for finding a new, compassionate doctor who felt it really was a injustice done to me and would of if in the same place this doctor was in would of found a way to accomplish both our needs without harm.

Love Dr. Matsumura! He is kind and knowledgeable and is working on a solution, not a quick fix.

Pain Management is a very difficult area of Medical Practice due to the risks opioid pain medications represent both to the patient and to surrounding family members. Not all patients are appropriate candidates for opioid pain medications due to potential issues of addiction, misuse and/or diverson. Sometimes, there is too much risk associated with the treatment of opioid medications due to underlying medical conditions or cognitive ability. I would welcome Horrible Experience to contact the clinic so we could discuss the issues specifically. My first goal is to do no harm. There are circumstances that opioid pain medications represent too great a risk to harm or death. I am disappointed your interaction with our clinic was perceived as… a poor experience.
