Had kidney stones had surgery had them removed on a friday. Went back on monday and express that I didnot feel comfortable to go to work on pain medication and if I could take a few more days off. The reply to me was people live with kidney stones and stints for years you can go back to work. Well everybody is diffent when it come to pain. Coming from a nurse working in healthcare you have to be mindful and considerate towards that.

I saw her in hospital as an in-patient, she spent 5 minutes w/ me and disappeared. She didn't inform the nurses of my CT scan, so I had to remain hospitalized for an additional day. Her office scheduled me for imaging at a facility that my insurance didn't cover. (I was only supposed to have a catheter for 10 days. They scheduled me so far out for imaging, I had the catheter for almost 3 weeks.) When I called to get the order transferred, she wasn't in the office, so I had to wait even longer to get the imaging done. I was assured by Dr. Habenicht & her staff that the catheter would be removed by the staff who conducted the imaging. Well, I had the imaging completed this morning, and I still have the catheter. I called her office to make an appointment to have it removed, and they just informed me she is out-of-network for my insurance also, so they can't remove the catheter unless I want to self-pay for an office visit. I am beyond frustrated with the level of care this doctor… provides.

Dr Habenicht saw my husband 3 x and was aware both kidneys had multiple stones, in her words "too many to count" My husband has passed stones and knows exactly how it feels, when I called the office Friday afternoon to ask for advice and pain management, I was told to call his PCP (who has only seen him once) or the nephrologist (who has also only seen him once). I felt she did not want to take responsibility, did not even offer for him to come in for a urinalysis. That night I had to call an ambulance because he was vomiting and almost lost consciousness due to pain. His blood pressure was through the roof. We went to ER where he was told it appeared he had passed a stone. Very unhappy with the patient care and passing of the buck

I am not even sure i even needed the lithotripsy...never saw any evidence of a kidney stone. never got a call or follow up. My feeling is that if I had a stone too big to pass, I should have seen something in the strainer after the procedure....

Dr Habenicht did a great job with when i had a kidney stone that was stuck.

Dr. Habenicht Is through and makes sure you understand what is going on with your health. She is courteous and has a wonderful bedside manner. She puts you at ease so that you are not uncomfortable asking those "embarrassing" questions.
