Dr. Kyungmouk Steve Lee

Kyungmouk Steve Lee, M.D. is a board-certified interventional radiologist specializing?in the treatment of liver tumors.? He is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.Born in Korea and raised in the United States, Dr. Lee earned his bachelor of science degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and his medical degree with honors in research from Weill Cornell Medical College. He completed a residency in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in interventional radiology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.??Dr. Lee?s research focus is in optimizing non-surgical ablative therapy of tumors (e.g., using a needle with extreme heat or cold to destroy cancer). His additional research interest is in organ regeneration using catheter-directed techniques. He has authored over 20 …publications in peer-reviewed journals and has been awarded research grants from the Society of Interventional Radiology and the Radiological Society of North America.Dr. Lee?s clinical expertise is in interventional radiology?and he uses?a multidisciplinary approach to decide the best treatment strategy for each patient.
