Very rude office staff. So expensive, She doesnt spend time to clients nor explain everything well. They just want to sell their products.

She wants to be known as a famous skin care specialist. Five years after the procedure she recommended, my skin looks worse. I wish I’d never encountered this person.

I took a day off of work to go to my dermatology appointment. I never got a confirmation call, so I called to make sure they had my appointment, and sure enough, they didn’t. I kept my appointment card so I had proof. They were able to squeeze me in, but then Josie called me back to notify me that I needed another referral. No one told me this. I had a referral for my original appointment, but not for my follow up as I typically don’t need additional referrals for follow ups. Josie was abhorrently rude on the phone. She was not apologetic at all for THEIR mistake, first not scheduling my appointment but giving me an appointment card and then not giving me instructions for follow up. She said “well it’s you’re responsibility to figure it out”. Really? I’m in healthcare and when my patient needs a follow up appointment, I tell them everything they need to do. I will never set foot in this place again. I used to refer many people here. No more.

Should have been a red flag with I was handed a sheet the first appointment with an estimate of $6000+ for hair loss treatments that “might work”. Office manager is rude. Will wait an hour plus for a 5 min appointment. The vibe is definitely they are there to sell and push vitamins to access. Felt like a $ more than patient.

Prescribed multiple vitamins sold at her office & after no improvement over a year, we parted ways. New dermatologist correctly diagnosed and treated me, with hair regrowth two months later. Does not do thorough physical evaluation.

Practice literature reflects that goal is to have well informed patient will be a satisfied patient. That definitely was not my situation. The PA addressed the 1st appointment with all the intake of information that when Dr. Dy made her appearance it was less than 6 minutes and part of that time included question if I am on Medicare...appears that her focus is more as to what can be sold to this new patient to "address" the issue. The "vitamins" sold to me for a 3 month supply $240 ...made me sick and lost weight. I took them for two months and could not tolerate it any further... The shampoo that I had to get online aggravated the situation rather than heal. Second appointment, different PA, took updates and left. I sat for 25 minutes in the room until PA and Dr. Dy came back. Bottomline Dr. Dy talked and conferred to PA, rather than talk to me and explain. Next regiment was different vitamins, 3 month supply at $170, then two prescriptions- one more steroid and another "liquid"… Betamethasone 1% to apply to areas around the hair loss. My prescriptions were called into the wrong pharmacy after even telling the PA the RX location. The Pharmacy did not have the lotion yet called and got it changed to an ointment. I used the ointment for 3 days and went back to the Pharmacy to show what was occurring...I could not even wash it out of my hair ...it was so greasy ..I learned from the Pharmacy that they were not aware that this was being applied to the scalp..NOT APPROPRIATE For SCALP...Once again I paid for medications that are not appropriate or caused me to be sick. I did call and talk to Lisa the office manager...very professional yet did not have the information correct from my conversation with the latest PA. Well enough said..there is more yet I told Lisa to cancel my next appointment. I believe third time is the charm will not occur. It is unfortunate that I will not get my scalp issues resolved yet do not need to escalate my blood pressure any further

After consulting another dermatologist and feeling quite unhappy about the results, I was referred to Dr Dy. Dr Dy listened to my concerns, made her recommendations and treated me. I’ve been her patient for the last six years. Dr Dy is now the only dermatologist my family consults. Dr Dy is very knowledgeable, professional and kind. Lisa, practice manager is courteous, attentive and friendly. I’ve never been made to wait more than fifteen minutes to be called into an examination room. If the doctor is delayed for any reason, Lisa or another staff member come into the room and advises me of the delay. I’m confident I will receive great care administered in a holistic manner from Dr Dy. Dr Dy’s care is complimented by the discreet,,courteous and respectful treatment given me by Lisa and her staff. Lady Dy did a <60 second “full body scan” for melanoma without asking me to remove clothes and put on a gown. In other words, the “full body scan” was not professionally done. She sold me Kybella, which is a $2,600.00 scam. It did not make a noticeable difference in my appearance. She then tried to sell me $1200.00 worth of creams. When I said that I was not satisfied with the Kybella result, that they were not why she had promised, she exhibited a deeply contained but clearly preceptible anger. This is not an effective physician. She only wants a reputation as a ‘world renowned cosmetic dermatologist.’

Dr Dy is an excellent physician. She is extremely caring and really listens to her patients. She takes her time to explain procedures thoroughly. I see Dr Dy for all of my dermatological needs and I couldn’t be happier.

I had no frame of reference choosing Dr Dy, just luck I believe. I received some fillers on the side of my lips, that worked out very well and I looked and felt better about myself. She s a very informed doctor and I would highly recommend her.
