Dr. Laila Nooruddin Hirjee, MD

Dr. Hirjee though a nice individual does not have the patient's best interest in mind. I am so disappointed, being that she rounds at the facility my parent resides at. We have medical background so this review is not done in a flippant way. Dr. Hirjee overprescibes antibiotics when there is no indication of even infection. This caught both me and my other family member off guard. She did this the first and second visit with our parent. We had to go through all the reasons an antibiotic was not indicated, by the second appt, and stand our ground (and we were correct-no infection). Additionally, we are finding that there are "follow-up" visits in the patient portal weekly, though not necessary and previously notified office this was not wanted. There is a high charge for just the visit at the facility, no ideal at all. I would recommend you find a geriatrician for you or your loved one that can be trusted and you do not have to advocate every single step of the way. Even as… a new patient my parent received no vital sign check and the exam was listening to heart and lungs, checking for edema- No thorough exam on a demented patient unreliable historian of a patient! This is substandard, you can do much better and you should!!

Dr. Hirjee does not care about people. Highly medicated the elderly. No communication and then blames you and tells you that you have no knowledge. Almost turned my mother into a vegetable. Tires to cover up her actions. Paperwork sent to the New nursing home stating that I'm in denial, please look at your medication bills close to find out the truth. Not much below applies my Mother was in a nursing home but required that I fill out to submit.

Dr. Hirjee was there when I needed her. I appreciate that.

She is an amazing physician. Very prompt and thorough . Answers every call I made very promptly . Very organized office and staff

Less than 5 min with a patient, no hand washing, no bedside manners, and I agree with the other review! Pill pusher for the elderly!!!

If your parent is in assisted living and she is the visiting doctor..... GET SOMEONE ELSE ..... and AVOID the place that would use her services!!!! BIG RED FLAG!!
