Dr. Laila Sakkal

After two days at the Intermediate Intensive Care unit at Inova Alexandria Hospital, I had to be my own doctor requesting lab work etc because Dr. Sakkal could not do her job or provide proper care to a patient. With a history of pulmonary embolisms and experiencing overlapping symptoms as well as delayed allergic reaction. I told Dr. Sakkal that something was still wrong and I was having extreme chest pressure and rib pain on both sides. She denied me updated lab work before discharge and sent me home sick. Before she discharged me she stated I should look into anxiety, disgusting behavior!! At my primary care office a day after discharge, I was severely bruised and in bad shape to discover I was having another allergic reaction, a partial collapsed lung, nerve pain in my leg and foot, severe dehydrated and experiencing arm pain, infection, heart palpitations and chest pressure still with extreme acid feeling in throat and chest. I ended up back in the ER a day after my PCP office.… Dr. Sakkal is not qualified enough to care for patients on an ICU floor or any floor for that matter! Inova Alexandria Hospital needs to address Dr. Sakkal patient care procedures.
