She graduated with her masters of science in nursing with a specialty in Family Nurse Practitioner in 2012, from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge. In fall of 2021, Lakesha earned her doctorate in nursing from Southern University School of Nursing . She later on ,became dual certified obtaining her post masters certificate as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in 2023 from Herzing University.
Lakesha has over 17 years of combined nursing experience in a variety of settings including med surg, emergency care, urgent care and mental health services .
