I can't speak for all but this was my experience

If I could give this lady 0 stars I would. The 1st visit i had with her she didn't even introduce herself when she walked in the room (her lab coat and name tag was missing) stuck her bare finger in my 7 month old mouth when I asked a question about her teething. I received two denial letters for my baby formula because she filled out the paperwork incorrectly. She doesn't answer the phones professionally. She asked me If she filled out the paperwork correct for my baby perscription, YOU'RE THE DOCTOR! When she answers the phone she's far from professional. I don't see how she has good reviews because she is the worst doctor I've come across in my whole life. Her student Christine is so sweet and i hope she doesn't get trained incorrectly by this lady. Oh Dr. Avala update your medical rubber stamp the phone number and address is wrong! Also learn how to be more informative when you have a concerend parent. I will never bring my baby back to this lady.

I'm currently a 4th Med Student completing my Medical Doctorate. I, along with 3 other students, were assigned to Dr. Avala in 2017 for our Pediatrics rotation. Since coming to the end of my medical student education I felt compelled to voice my feelings about how terrible Dr. Avala was to me directly and my fellow classmates. She was abusive, rude, belittled me in front of the employees and families at the clinic. Other students voiced similar complaints. We told our Dean about our treatment and had Dr. Avala removed as faculty at our medical school. I wanted to also tell parents and potential patients how rude and abusive she was not only to her students but with her patients as well. I watched, and witnessed how she spoke down to new moms, handle children roughly, and sometimes not even go in and see patients I had examined. It is because of her I chose not to pursue peds, and my only regret is not saying anything earlier other than to my dean

We adore Dr. Avala. She is exceptionally observant, knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, dedicated. She listens. She doesn't rush you. She cares. Two of my children were diagnosed with severe autism. Dr. Avala has helped us manage their care, and recommended vital resources they desperately needed. What’s more, she has continuously and tirelessly given us support and encouragement and objective advice. When my daughter showed signs of scoliosis, Dr. Avala scheduled us for x-rays. After receiving the results, she immediately referred us to a fantastic specialist at Shriner’s Hospital, and Dr. Avala constantly followed up with us about my daughter’s progress. After my daughter was formally diagnosed with scoliosis, Dr. Avala made sure she answered any of our additional questions, and she immediately referred us for physical therapy. With all the other health issues already impacting my children, this new health issue was absolutely devastating. But because we have… an amazing doctor taking care of us, it helped renew our strength when we felt overwhelmed. Dr. Avala has provided fantastic care for our four children for over 13 years. It's been quite a journey. And when things went bad, she was always there. She's so important to us, we followed her from Roseville Pediatric Medical Group to her current practice. We didn't want another doctor. We wanted someone we knew we could 100% trust with our children's health. They are in good hands, and we’re grateful.

She is my kids pediatrician for last 8 years. Very caring and professional. I was heart broken when I came to know she is no longer in Roseville, but I googled and found her. She moved to a new location and her practice is @5959 Greenback Lane, Ste 210. Cirtus Heights

horrible doctor! forgot my baby's prescription! then made us wait 6 more hours until she was had time to fix the mishap. we sat in front of safeway pharmacy (with baby screaming the whole time). they never apologized. my baby, 3 mos old, she misdiagnosed 3X, never calls back when paged, and will not give me a referral to see a specialist because she says "there is nothing they can do that we cant do". in the mean time my baby has been to the ER 4x and the Urgent Care 2x in a 4 month period!

Answered all my questions with a warm smile and made me feel at ease.Good parenting tips.Would reccomend without any reservation.

Overall a good experience

Very bad experience dealing with this Office. Extremely unprofessional, very impolite staff, Long wait to see the doctor and long wait to get appointments. They will come with shocking surprise billing statements after several weeks. Please dont take your kids to a place where there is no professionalism as your kids deserve better.
