When I say this person foreshortened my father's life I'm not being facetious. We came to SIH Cancer Institute seeking help with symptom management knowing my father was going to die. We left emotionally scarred having lost countless time with my father due to their gross medical negligence. Dr. Lakshmi Manogna Chintalacheruvu led him down a path of fear based decision making, ignored his personhood issues, almost killed him by not clarifying his questions about how to take two different medications, never gave him access to palliative care, made him sit for days in the ER when putting a necessary medical intervention "as needed" would have eliminated this wasted time, and lets her personal biases overrule current medical studies and symptom management practices. To say our experience with her and SIH has left us traumatized would be an understatement. She treats patients in a dangerous "one size fits all" manner. I implore anyone who is given her as a doctor to request another. And… if you have the ability to go to Barnes instead of SIH please do so.
