Lakshmi Kartha, MD, MBA

Dr. Lakshmi Kartha is a pulmonologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the lungs and respiratory system. She earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed her residency training at MetroHealth Medical Center. With 15 years of experience in pulmonary medicine, Dr. Kartha has developed expertise in managing complex respiratory conditions. She is fluent in English.

Dr. Kartha practices at UofL Physicians – Pulmonary in Louisville, Kentucky. She focuses on treating patients with respiratory failure, chronic lung disease, and COPD with additional health complications. Her clinical work includes providing pulmonary rehabilitation to help patients improve their breathing and quality of life. Dr. Kartha also performs diagnostic CT scans to evaluate lung conditions and utilizes therapeutic hypothermia when medically appropriate for patient care.
