Dr. Lan Thanh Pham, DDS

1.) For three years Dr. Pham misdiagnosed constant pain in my upper teeth bilaterally and bleeding after brushing as gingivitis, and prescribed chlorhexidine gluconate and amoxicillin. Dr. Dillon's diagnosis was periodontal disease. 90% of the bleeding and pain ceased after her first of three treatments. 2.) I have Humana dental insurance as a rider to my Medicare Advantage Plan, some benefits of which entitle me to two free cleanings per year. Dr. Pham charged me $57 in 2016 and $59 in 2017 for "up front" deductibles. I checked with Humana which advised that there's no such thing as "up front" deductibles; I was entitled to the cleanings at no cost. 3.) Dr. Dillon requested that Dr. Pham email my xrays to her. Email my xrays?! Dr. Pham doesn't have digital xray equipment; he still takes film xrays and places them in grey cards with the four film slots. He still has spit sinks! Dr. Dillon said that since 2014 dentists agreed to use digital equipment.
