Dr L Nelson removed my lap band in 2017. after having multiple complications, (this was put in by another physician in 2009). Approximately 1 year later 11-13-2018 she removed my gallbladder and I decided to have VSG gastrectomy. Best decision ever. I wished I would have gone that route instead of the Lapband,( I threw up for 7+hrs).?? Dr Nelson’s office staff are professional and very helpful with whatever concerns that would arise prior to surgery. I had fully educated having no doubt I was doing the right. Dr Nelson has a very caring and pleasant bedside manner. Winter is also amazing. I can’t say enough good about the Journey Clinic and all of her staff. I would highly recommend Dr. Nelson hands down.

She is very professional, and very down to earth. She was able to answer all my questions and concerns, and spoke to me about other concerns that I might have down the road. She is not one that is in a hurry to rush you through (truly sincere) about all questions that you might have. I would recommend her to anyone that ask about my experience.

Dr. Nelson did my Gastric Sleeve 3 years ago and a hernia repair a year ago. Both went well. She did a great job. Wonderful explanations and answers questions clearly. Staff was always excellent in the office and the hospital.

This is an amazing doctor! I have been sick for a while and yet, she took a chance to save my life! I asked God to lead me to the best doctor! She is now working on my case and I really do love her bedside manner, her compassion and her taking the time to repair my stomach! If you are sick and in need of surgery, she is now in Norman, Oklahoma. Take the time to request to see her, it will be the best decision that you can make to save your life! Truly, a blessing from God!

Dr Nelson is one of the most caring surgeons I have ever met. She was always nice with me, never seemed rush, and the care was still there after she completed my surgery and received my money. I would trust her with my children's lives!
