Dr. Lana Kay Wagner, MD

I was very grateful that the Presbyterian Medical Group was bringing a sleep clinic to Santa Fe. I had an appointment with Dr Lana Wagoner. I needed to change the date of the appointment and I called the Santa Fe office several times in the days leading up to my scheduled appointment. The staff kept telling me that they forwarded my request to the sleep clinic. But I never got a call back. I chalked it up to it up to the new clinic and decided I should keep my existing appointment. I drove 2 hours from Santa Fe to Taos and arrived at my appointment on time only to be told that the doctor wouldn’t see me because I had not arrived early to fill out paper work. I stated that that wouldn’t work for me because of the distance I had driven, the fact that I had not been able to reschedule and the fact that I hadn’t been told I had to arrive early. The other clients in the waiting room assured me that it was reasonable for me to stand up for myself. Two women sleep clinic… staff came into the waiting room and escorted me into a conference room. They were very disrespectful and I knew from the outset that they were not going to help me. They stated that they were going to speak with Dr Wagoner and one woman told me that I was to wait in the conference room for privacy. I told her that she should be respectful and ask me what I wanted to do and not tell me what I should do. As expected they both came back to the waiting room and stated that the doctor wouldn’t see me. I then went up to the main desk to request assistance. The staff at the main desk were being more helpful but still couldn’t get me in to see Dr Wagoner. I was very frustrated and upset. At that point a security guard approached me and threatened to call the police! I will have a very hard time ever going back to that office or clinic but resources are few and far between in northern New Mexico and I might have too. This was one of the worst medical experiences ever. Beware.
