Dr. Lance Peter Longo, MD

This doctor I has been at least thirty minutes late for every single appointment that I have ever had with him.

I first met Dr. Longo when I was at Dewey about ten years ago. He's been my doctor since then. Prior to Dewey and Dr. Longo I had been in probably 10 other 28-day rehabs and more hospitals detoxing than I want to add up. Basically with 20 years of hard addiction I never believed I could get sober for any sustained period of time. I had a couple rough relapses in the beginning but Dr. Longo hung with me focusing on changes I should consider making to improve my life. He was considerate yet straight with me. He prescribed medications though held there was no magical pill (which I was hoping for). The meds were tweaked once in a while though haven't changed much over the years. I've been clean and sober for 7 years 11 months. It has been a lot of hard work and uncomfortable times. The result, priceless. Working with Dr. Longo has been and will continue to be a huge factor in my recovery. I feel blessed.

Don't see this doctor, you can do better. He is so full of himself. He just talked about himself and did not seem to care about me and appears to be a social climber. I have left so many messages and he took forever to return them if he even did. He will tell you he is a regular guy but he won't really listen very well. I'm amazed he got to be a medical director, but suspect he just has the title for his resume,.

Dr. Longo was late and rude. I don't think he could be anymore full of himself. I will never see him again

I would recommend dr.Longo.Without his help,I would not be alive!!

Excellent and compassionate doctor. Always understanding and encouraging. Once when he knew of a person was seeking someone in recovery to hire, in my field, I went to the person and was hired. High paying job with benefits. When I first saw him I was unemployable yet thanks to consistently seeing Dr Longo I became healthy and employable. He looked at the underlying issue which triggered my addiction and encouraged me to seek holistic healing and for a time, mood stabilizers. Whenever I asked to be weened off any medication he always honored it. He has also met with my family and help in many ways with my family.

I had a great experience with this doctor. He actually LISTENED to me and when it came to medications we actually discussed, in detail, a number of different options. We chose together what would be best for me. I am a recovering alcoholic, so all of my medications are non-habit forming. I would recommend Dr. Longo to family and friends.

This Doctor has been giving pills to a family member for years and the patient was suppose to be weened off these pills but even though he is asked by the family to stop giving the pills he continues to do it anyway . So watch out for him . He's basically a drug dealer . He has no regard for what any of the family members have been through . Don't go to him . You will just be asking for trouble .

The doc was self-absorbed and curt and said he was in a rush. I wouldn't go back. Ever.
