Dr. Lance Owens, DO

I have never had a problem with the staff or with Dr. Owens I went in there to talk to him with weight loss and he was very compassionate and listened to what I had to say and gave me a list of options.

Office staff extremely rude and terse, doctor not any better. They will not work with you or your special situation.

Only went to him twice. Saw the PA the first time and him the second. Had just finished 8 weeks of physical therapy when I saw him and he prescribed another 8 weeks of therapy." DA " if the first 8 weeks did nothing what made him think another 8 weeks would work. Has no bed side manners what so ever. Is very rude !

Doctor Lance Owens office is the worst for calling you back and then if you go to the hospital ER. He will drop you as a patient

If you question this doctor or his staff, you will get a letter dismissing you! I made the comment to "Bethany" that he must not be a very good doctor (since my previous doctor would stay in his office until every patient was taken care of,) calling us, or calling in our scripts I had received calls as late as 8:30 P.M, I really didn't expect Dr Owens to be as competent or as professional and caring as the above mentioned awesome doctor that I was accustomed to. Old optimistic me, still thought Dr. Owens would have at the very least, called the script it was for pain plus it was still almost 3 hours until his office closed! YES, I was upset, so when I talked to the receptionist after she called to tell me I had missed an appointment; I never got a reminder call!I told his receptionist that he must not be a very good doctor! She (squealed) to the doctor what I said, so I was promptly dismissed from his practice. I didn't find out until I arrived for my next appointment, the coward… had his office manager tell me that I was dismissed ON THE very DAY OF my appointment!!In their defense they did say they tried to call me however, I was out of town I arrived very late the night before my appointment; I never had a chance to listen to my messages. So again he left me without medical assistance!. NO, I would not recommend this doctor, under any circumstance...

My family has gone to Dr. owens for MANY MANY years and he has been a amazing doctor! He Dropped me as a pt because i showed up at a appointment 1 day early. Now i am no longer able to be seen by the practice. They have NO Compassion at all! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone

I forgot to mention in my previous review; That I had taken a really hard fall on my hand at work, I was told to have it checked out it was swelling and very bruised, I didn't know exactly where to go, I opted to stop by Dr. Lanceâ??s office; so he could direct me, he was my doctor;(I say that loosely) He wouldnâ??t even take a look or speak to me, he told the receptionist that he didnâ??t cover workmanâ??s comp cases! THANKS DOC for caring (dripping w/sarcasm) I ended up at the ER where they did x-rays, Luckily nothing was broken however, it was sprained, they gave me a few pain pills to last a couple of days. I didn't realize how much the pills were helping until, I ran out of them; Friday afternoon my hand started to really throb and hurt, I called Dr. Owenâ??s office for a prescription for pain pills, Emergency Rooms are not allowed to write prescriptions they can hand out a few pills and that's it, they told me to call my doctor, it was a little late in the day yet, they were… open another 2 1/2 hours. plus, it was a Friday; I waited and waited for that prescription to be called in ( The RECEPTIONIST BETHANY said it would be! IT NEVER was; not until mid-Monday Morning, Thanks GUYS; I was in extreme pain all weekend! My previous doctor would never have left his office until every patient was taken care of. Dr. Owens is still accepting new patients, my guess is while heâ??s a doctor his patient quota will never be full, with this guyâ??s bed side manner heâ??ll probably continue to lose patients as well. I donâ??t think you can teach someone to be a good doctor, you have to care about people and their well being. This guy does not! (Also I noticed in my first review I said ("aloud" to ask questions) it should have been (allowed) there isnâ??t an edit button!! They wonder why their patients get angry!!

Very immature doctor, on my first visit to his office I asked for a prescription of a skin lotion I have used for years, guess what, he has his own skin care clinic located inside the building where his office is located he proceeded to dismiss my request, and informed me of the potions he hawks! I didn't want what he was hawking it's not covered by insurance, like a prescriptions are! MY SECOND and last visit the office personal BETHANY set my appointment up with the wrong doctor! (never got an apology! My third appointment I missed, when they called to inform me I had missed it, I disagreed, after all they set me up with the wrong doctor, why wouldn't I think they screwed this up as well? So I questioned them APPARENTLY you're not aloud to Question little sensitive Bethany! I won't be going back! Not a big deal I have found a much nicer cleaner more professional office and doctor! My new doctor doesn't have a chintzy skin care clinic where he hawks his wares either! BY the way… anyone can buy the stuff he sells at a website called skinwest.com try the site before you buy from his clinic, or have them diagnose what you need, then go buy the stuff on the website; check it out before you buy his overpriced products! They say everything happens for a reason; I'm grateful he was a screw up otherwise; I may not have searched for a really good doctor!

Doctor Owens has been my doctor for years, I recently had a child and was told he was a great family doctor and takes great care of newborns and infants. Well hes not don't take your child to him hes a joke of a doctor, he doesn't care about his patients all he cares about is making more and more money. Also, its harder to get ahold of him than any other doctor I have experienced, his staff is great and pretty much the only thing that saves his poor care.

The staff is usually unsympathetic and does not return phone calls. You feel brushed off when you ask questions. The waiting time is very long and once you get in a room you still wait forever. The my chart at Metro works to email the doctor but is pointless since they still make you come in for appointment.
