Dr. Lane Clifford Childs, MD

I appreciated the reminder from Kennedy to get my lab work done a week before my appointment with Dr. Childs. The check in was done in a timely manner and the wait was minimal. Charity was fast and efficient in taking blood pressure and updating medical info. Dr. Childs was also efficient and took the time to answer questions and as my lab results were within normal limits, the entire visit didn't take long. I appreciated the well-run manner in which all staff handled my visit :)

The front desk intake employee was efficient, friendly and fast. I only waited about 1 minute before being called back. How often does that occur in any medical practice?! The assistant who took me back was the same, very professional. No unnecessary chit chat but presented herself as pleasant and accomodating. Dr. Childs also was prompt, very little wait for him as well. He seemed to be more in-tuned to my on-going problem and actually listened to my input this year compared to some previous years where he was dismissive of my concerns as if I was delusional and didn't know what I was talking about. His outlook for me was on the positive side this time rather than his bleak and unhopeful/unhelpful demeanor from a year ago. Maybe his positive approach for me during this visit were just words to appease me, but I'd like to think that there was genuine concern and positive moving forward action to address my issues. Time will tell.

I have always had such a great experience, from the person making appt, to check in, his medical assistants, and especially Dr. Child’s himself. I know on this particular appointment he had a very afternoon ahead of him, with a surgery waiting for him to get to. I still feel like he took the time needed and was very efficient and thorough and as always very pleasant and upbeat in his approach.

Dr. Child’s personality comes thru in his approach. It helps makes uncomfortable topics more comfortable to discuss and be open about.

As a retired physician married to a retired registered nurse, we had sought a urological evaluation with another provider and were dissatisfied with the level of professionalism and care. Dr. Childs was sensitive to our situation and discussed options. He drew on his experience to help us choose a best treatment plan. He and his staff provided an exceptional level of care and we are completely satisfied.

Office staff were very friendly and welcoming me & very helpful as well as calming. Dr. Child’s was very informative , walking me through my condition and answering my questions. All around very pleased .

I loved Dr Child's. I had every bit of confidence I him!! I did not care for his medical assistant. She was demeaning before and after surgery. I work I the medical field and Havre done for offer 30 years. What i experienced worth her was unacceptable. I just feel horrible for the older clients that have to deal with her. After surgery i needed questions answered and some pain meds. I know they have to be careful with pain medication but with me being deathly ill from after surgery and the pain i felt is not a good time to treat anyone like a drug seeker. I was in so much pain i thought i would need to call the ambulance. She laughed it off and told me to use a heating pad. It didn't work. I would do 100 surgeries with Dr Child's but please make him aware of his assistant!!!

Dr Childs is the best!

Lane Childs is an excellent Dr, but unfortunately his staff needs better training. My husband was told by his office that his surgery had been verified through our insurance company and was a covered procedure, only to find out after surgery, that it was not covered. Now, we have over 12,000 in medical expenses that we never expected and can't afford because someone failed to do their job thoroughly.
