Dr. Lane David Krevitt, MD

Someone WHITHOUT PROFESSIONAL ETHICS !!

Have been seeing Dr. Krevitt for the past year for a diagnosis of laryngeopharneal reflux (LPR). Recently my symptoms relapsed and as a result my quality of life has greatly diminished. Desperate, for answers and concrete next steps for treatment (NOT more medication, without very good cause) I made a follow up appointment to check in. Not only did he barely allow me a word in edgewise (which is his usual, dismissive bedside manner), but also confidently asserted his own opinions without what I felt was any real consideration of my background, treated my questions with disdain, and then stormed out at the conclusion of the appointment, leaving me sitting there near tears. The point of paying to see a physician is to have someone who looks at the whole picture, the whole unique patient, not someone who treats only what he wants to see. What is it with these egotistical, testosterone-driven male doctors in NYC? His behavior during my appointment was disgraceful and frankly an… embarrassment to the medical community. Walking out on your patients is unacceptable, no matter how many accolades you boast. Period.

Turbinate surgeries from ent doctors can cause Empty Nose Syndrome, which damages the nerves in your nose and makes you feel like you're suffocating. Think again before having the surgery.

Dr. Krevitt is perhaps the most caring physician I have ever encountered in my 50 years. He took the time to explain things in a way that those of us who haven't been to med school can easily understand. His compassion is such that after my surgery he personally contacted my wife in the waiting room, rather than leaving that to someone else. The follow-up was excellent. The staff is courteous and helpful (speaking to the East Side location). I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Krevitt.

I had sinus surgery with Dr. Krevitt in 2007. His diagnosis was on point and the treatment was speedy and well done. Not at all the nightmare I've heard from others about their sinus surgery experiences. The hospital the surgery took place at had poor patient care and Dr. Krevitt called me to discuss that and personally apologize. I'd recommend the West Side location though, the East side was sub-par.

Encouraged me to go to a Sleep Center but I never heard from him again. I've left several messages and called the office to have him call me asap. Still nothing!!!If he's a good doctor, I wouldn't know it for sure.

As soon as i walked into the office i could tell that it was not a very organized office. The young spanish lady in the front was very rude and dressed very inappropriate and seemed less then knowledgeable about about her position in the front. After over an hour wait to see Dr. Krevitt he was very short with answers and condescending in his behavior. While in the middle of his exam he receive a phone call, while talking on the phone in the room it was his wife calling and his stepped out for 10 minutes. In my mind it was very rude to stop a exam to deal with family issued. Then before i could even walk out the run a very mad looking latin lady rushed me out of the run to clean it. Honestly before rushing people out to clean the room, which is rude, can you let us gather our belongings and exit? Then at the check out the two latins ladies (do you see the theme here? I am not racist at all) where speaking english but as soon as i asked a question they both gave me a dull-witted… look and spoke in spanish to one another (In an office dealing with the public i think you should be speaking english all the time unless the person you are speaking to is spanish. Its very unprofessional to be speaking spainish in front of someone that is not a spainish speaker much less switch in the middle of a conversation.) Little did the two ladies know that i can and do speak spainish very well. Of course their conversation was about me. I asked who was the manager of the office and i was directed to a gentleman, but before i could talk to him one of the ladies speak to him in spainish stating that the crazy patient would like to speak to him. So before i even talked to the gentleman i decided to end it there and cut my loses since i could already tell that whatever i had to say would fall on deaf ears.
