Dr. Laquita Renee Martinez

Dr Martinez was very thourough during my visit. She was very patient and I could tell that she took interest in each of her clients. She was compassionate and very attentive to my needs.

I was scheduled for me yearly Pap smear with her and was also scheduled to have a colposcopy (a minor procedure done in office) at the same time. During the Pap smear portion of the visit, she was EXTREMELY rough, which I've never experienced before. And seemed to get irritated that she had to keep telling me to keep my cheeks on the table. Obviously you're hurting me and it's a bit difficult to do that and you proceeded to get angry with me even though you assured me it's a natural, common reflex. After the minor procedure portion of the visit, I proceeded to have a vago-vaso reaction and began vomiting and passed out on the table. I came to and THEN they decided it would be a good idea to have me sign a consent form for the procedure. As a fellow medical profesional, I happen to know for a fact that all minor procedures performed in a medical office must have patient consent and signature BEFORE the procedure is performed. So my question is why was I given a consent form for a… procedure that had ALREADY been performed and I had a bad reaction. Would never recommend her to anyone. Her counterparts Dr. Rao and Dr. K are both absolutely wonderful though!!
