Dr. Larider Ruffin

Dr. Larider Ruffin is a highly accomplished nurse leader, clinician, educator, and advocate dedicated to advancing the nursing profession and improving patient outcomes. As Chair of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program and Associate Professor of Nursing at a local University, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of nurse practitioners.

He holds dual certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Rutgers University, his Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and his Doctor of Nursing Practice from Wilmington University.

Dr. Ruffin is the founder and chairman of Ruffin Medical Group, where he maintains an active clinical practice focused on primary care, chronic disease management, smoking cessation, and reducing hospital readmissions.

A Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP), Fellow …of the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing (FADLN), and Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing (FAAN), Dr. Ruffin has earned national recognition for his leadership, scholarship, and commitment to health equity. His research and clinical interests include diabetes management, health coaching, and smoking and vaping cessation. He is widely sought after as a speaker on these topics.
