Dr. Larisa V Mashensky, MD

I made an appointment for a well woman, specifically for my annual well woman, and when I got there they weren't set up for a well woman. I brought up that the appointment was for a well woman exam (I had a colposcopy the year before so it's very important I have my follow ups) and the doctor was very very rude and said this IS a well woman. They hooked me up to an EKG and took blood samples. They kept telling me I was getting a well woman but never actually gave me a pap! I totally understand if they aren't able to do a well woman and I need to go to a OBGYN but they could have just told me that! Furthermore, even though I received several bills, they never called me with any results from my lab work. On another occasion I went to see Dr. Mashensky because I was having stomach problems. After several rounds of antibiotics she told me this was my "new normal." I made an appointment with a specialist and when I went back to Dr. Mashensky she was very rude and insulted that I had gone… to a specialist. She also didn't seem to remember any of the steps she had taken to diagnose my problem before.

Best doctor

Thorough but not organized. Many details fall through the cracks. Not good follow up.

I lost track of Dr. Mashensky when she left an Upper East Side office where I had visited her for a number of years. She is a wonderful, caring physician and I am glad I finally found her again!
