Born in Wilmington, NC, Dr. Baucom grew up in Charlotte, NC. He attended Davidson College for his undergraduate studies and went on to the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1968. After dental school, Dr. Baucom served in the U.S. Army Dental Corps for 4 years. He started in private practice in Charlotte and after several years relocated to the Sandhills in 1978. He stays current in advances in the world of dentistry through continuing education courses, participation in the Sandhills Dental Study Club, and as a member of the American Dental Association and North Carolina Dental Society. Dr. Baucom and his wife of 40-years, Candace, have two grown children and three grandchildren. They enjoy travel, particularly to the Caribbean and West Coast, and …as much as possible to our Coast.
