Years ago I had a complex health problem and ended up needing surgery. I am so fortunate to have ended up in Dr. Copeland’s care. I was young and scared of what I was facing and it was truly a relief to have such an incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate doctor. Thank you. Dr. Copeland and Ohio State for ensuring I received the best outcome for my situation!

I am Larry Copeland and I wish to comment on the negative review from the patient "2 hours away". This is a problem I occasionally encounter. Patients are often sent to me after much prior treatment and while there are times we can in fact offer treatment and good outcomes, there are times when I have to be honest with the patient (even though the referring doctor has perhaps not been). When I give bad news, I try to do with care and feeling, but there are occasions when that message is not received accordingly. I write this to rebut the negative review. Larry Copeland

Dr. Copeland performed a very difficult and complicated complete hysterectomy in 2000. I was worried it was cancer, but after pathology examined the tumor, it was not cancer. I am so greatful to Dr. Copeland, his staff and the nurses and everyone at The James . Outstanding all the way!

I have advanced cancer, which is why I travelled 2 hours to the James...only to find him extremely condescending. One particular comment he made to me, along with a disparaging look, made my mind up within 30 seconds...do not want him as my gyn/once.
