Dr. Larry Wayne Epperson, MD

I cannot adequately describe the positive experiment I had with Dr. Epperson and with his staff. He was empathetic and knowledgeable. This was my first appointment and I will continue to see him.

The first thing that came out Dr Epperson "you know Dexerdreine won't work long term for weight." I spouted back to him, "if you bothered to look at my chart you would see that I take it for Narcalepsy." He then walked over to me and put his hand in my knee and said "I'm so very sorry" After that he made no sense to me on my condition. My opinion is, he's a jerk.

I've had back issues for the past 20 years and visited several different chiropractors and other back specialists. After an MRI, Dr. Epperson found my problem and set me up for some rehab. I finished the rehab and have followed their recommendations for stretching and after 5 years my back has been much better. Highly recommend him

Dr. Epperson is one of the very best doctors that I see, and I have several. Neurologists focus on the brain, etc.. Everyone with a brain should utilize Dr. Epperson.

Dr. Epperson has taking care of my multiple sclerosis and headaches for 12 years and I think he is the best!! He is so knowledgeable and very caring. I see him regularly and so happy with his care for me. His nurse, Sue, is the best too!!

I have been taking my father to Dr. Epperson for 7 years after he suffered a stroke in 2001. We both are very fond of him, thankful he is our doctor and always look forward to his appointment. We are always treated with kindness and Compassion and I know he has helped prevent my father from more strokes. Just wanted to write how thankful I am!!

went to see him for a nerve test due to diabetes. Test was performed by his staff who were unconcerned and non-caring. Epperson came in with an intern after he read the results, and started spouting off what my problem was, which I knew anyway. He never conducted any type of physical exam and did not ask me any questions. He had an intern with him and was trying to show off, and asked me if I could comprehend what he was saying. If he had taken the time to talk to me he would have learned that I was very familiar with medical terminology, having worked in the field for over 20 years, plus had a master degree. What a jerk!! Besides, he did not offer any treatment alternatives. I have not been back and will not go back. Any future needs will be taken to UAB or I'll see one of the other physicians in that group.Just don't waste your time on conceit!

His "bedside manner" could use his mprovement. I felt he had no time to discuss my issue as he stood the entire 15 minutes hedging toward the door.

He is a wonderful doctor and a fine man.

I like Dr. Epperson but I dread going to the appointments. Every time I go there I have to wait two hours past appointment time before seeing the doctor. Once I asked Terry, the lady who worked with him, a question and she seemed annoyed and said she had other patients to see. They shouldn't say that to anyone after making them wait for two hours. My appointments always lasts for 7 to 8 minutes or less so I didn't think I was taking too much of her time. They should stop over booking.
