Dr. Larry L Lewellyn

Dr. Lewellyn is efficient and kind. He explains to your baby what he's doing or trying to do. This is an intelligent and beneficial manner of interaction with babies and children, if you are interested in raising a competent child. He is not interested in alternative vaccination schedules or plans, but he will listen to your concerns and discuss them with you to some extent. His office staff is also competent and kind. The nurses are very nice and exceptionally polite, even with my short temper and neuroses. Over all, I can't find anything to critique even though I'm not a huge fan of doctor visits. I genuinely like the doctor and that's not typical for me. If you want an old-school, intelligent doctor who's courteous to you and sweet (but not silly) to your baby, I recommend him. As a total side note, he'll always take interest in your handmade clothing items and accessories - it's something about his personality that I appreciate very much.

but, he can come off as very rude. He doesn't have great bedside manners & has strong dissagreements about my beliefs in vaccines & doesn't mind voicing them. Overall he does seem to genuinley care about the welfare of my baby & that in it's self says alot.

Dr. Lewellyn is a caring person-- he took care of my infant son after an emergency c-section (nothing too serious but still hospitalized for 2 days). When we had problems with the staff in the hospital about the care of our newborn son, he got there to take charge of the situation --at night time. Afterwards, he showed great care in his follow-ups. On a different note, I would want my pediatrician to be a competent doctor and not an entertainer-- so what if he is straight to the point and just tells a kid what he is exactly supposed to do during a check-up? Please let's be fair in our comments.

I can't believe that Dr. Lewellyn is a pediatrician. He is not caring and he is rude to the kids. If he has to listen to your childs chest and your child is crying, he says "I need you to be quite so I can listen to your chest", instead of being more of a caring doctor to the kid and finding a better way to get the kids to be quite. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO TAKE THEIR CHILD TO HIM....!!!

Rudest Dr. I have ever encountered. Horribly rude man, cannot believe he's a pediatrician.
