Dr. Larry Jay Silverman, MD

I have no idea why everyone here is clamming Dr Silverman is the best! This man is extremely dismissive! He doesn’t care to listen to anything u have to say regarding your health and over talks you if u try to speak about your own health or condition. If a patient can’t advocate for themselves that is a for sure RED FLAG!!!!! Not to mention you cannot get an appointment to see him as a routine patient, I’ve never experienced such! I don’t care how experienced and knowledgeable you are as a doctor if u are always making your patient feel rushed through their visit, dismissing what they are trying to explain to you and over talking them making them feel like it’s your way as the doctor or no way you don’t deserve even 1 star!! Learn how to listen to your patients! Being kind & respectful doesn’t cost a penny. Your patients should not be just a meal ticket for you as a paycheck from their insurance!! SHAME ON YOU!!! Your behavior is awful!!!

Hands down—the best doctor I’ve ever seen. Dr. Silverman spent over an hour with me (as a new patient). His examination of me was so thorough, he was so well-organized with regard to having an understanding of my past medical history, and he has such great bedside manner. Just a wonderful, kind human being. I would recommend him without any hesitation. The office was short-staffed, but they tended to all of my needs and were wonderful, as well. Thank you, Dr. Silverman!

The best doctor ever seen!

Dr. Silverman is an incredibly compassionate and caring physician. I was referred to Dr. Silverman by my neurologist for evaluation. He genuinely cares about his patients and understands the anxiety patients feel while waiting for test results. He went above and beyond accommodating me by fitting me into his schedule, obtaining my test results, and calming my concerns. I am extremely impressed with his standard of care and would highly recommend him. I was also impressed with his office staff.

I do not know how I would go on living without Dr. SILVERMAN in my life. He calls me himself when things are good and bad with my test results. His staff is the greatest!!!!!

Been seeing Dr Silverman over 25 yrs for Lupus.He is the best.

Trying to dictate at 50 words per minute after clinical evaluation on voice recorder and makes mistakes and has audacity to yell at me when I tried to correct him. Does not care about patients anymore as I was one for a long time. Defames the character of a patient to other medical providers when patient is concerned and asks questions. Acts as if patient is committing a crime when patient is trying to figure out nature of their condition. This was just one of my experiences with this person--I no longer respect him as a clinician, physician or whatever he calls himself these days.

If the staff had been even marginally polite and had expressed any regret over the long wait time, I would have stayed.

Dr. Silverman is an exceptional doctor. very knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. The issue is getting an appointment with him. You have to book 3 months in advance and god forbid you have to reschedule. I am trying to stick with him because he is such a great doctor, but the scheduling makes it hard. What is the point in having a great doctor if you can't see him

One has to question the potential to establish a good relationship with this doctor given extraordinary wait times. He is booked to the point that waits are three months. Though pleasant and obviously quite competent, my experience was quite average, nothing exceptional. While I understand he uses an electronic system for electronic charts, I know, too, it is possible to pace this so that the physician isn't typing for the bulk of the visit.. Again, excessive typing during visits undermines the sense of the physician's interest and concern, even if it's there. I know it is up to the doctor to decide how/ when to chart and I understand it helps the doctor time-wise to do it while the patient is in the room, but I would suggest some improved balance. I feel the wait-times are the biggest issue and wonder what the options are if one becomes ill suddenly? It's unsettling. Thorough, pleasant and clearly competent, we uge the doctor to reconsider his patient load and subsequent wait-times… as well as how much typing/charting occurs during the visit.
