Dr. Larry Collins Stutts, MD

I have been a patient for ten years now and he has performed 2 c sections along with a laparoscopic hysterectomy on me. I will say the first time around I was unsure because he seemed a bit bland and stern. But once you get to know him and see how committed he is to his patients he seems to open up. I have never had issues and hes always been very informative and on top of any issues and my safety and comfort.! His staff is also very warm and seasoned always familiar faces not rotating staff.

Dr. Stutts performed a hysterectomy on me, the next day i noticed what looked like a tumor growing to the side of my belly button, then it looked as if i was about 5 months pregnant. I begged to have blood work done to figure out what was wrong, which they eventually did after taking their sweet precious time. I had a hematoma in my abdomen. He "knicked" a vein and i lost all but 20% of my blood. It took them another 24 hours, plummeted heart rate and 60/40 blood pressure before anyone ordered blood transfusions. After nearly dying and having a stomach full of blood, he said everything was healing great and looked normal. A 28 year old having multiple blood transfusions with nurses on stand by to give me CPR for over 24 hours is not normal.

Awful dr. He is is a very big hurry and cares nothing for his patients as well as a very smart attitude

Dr Stutts is a very caring doctor, he saw me after I had to go to ER thinking I had a bad appendix. It was an ovarian cyst instead. He explained everything to me about my options the pros and cons of waiting and having it removed. I opted to wait for three months to see if it would resolve on its own. It turned out it didn't and he removed it after explaining what he was going to do, the complications and any other questions I had he was will to answer. Surgery went well and I have only compliments for him. Would recommend him.

Dr Stutts is very friendly, open and caring. He tells you the problem lists all your options with pros and cons and lets YOU decide. He gives his opinion when asked, but if it's not a life-threatening thing, he leaves it to you to decide. He did a D&C on me for ridiculously long and frequent periods- my choice over a newly released pill or hysterectomy. He told me exactly what to expect and that it might or might not solve the problem temporarily. Before the surgery he called me at home the night before to see if I had any questions.When the d&C didn't solve the problema and I opted for a hysterectomy he gave me all the details and options and once again let ME decide whether or not to keep my ovaries- quoting the pros and cons. Again, he called the night before (from home) to see if I had problems and when he got my voice mail, he instructed me to call him back if I had any questions. I've never had a doctor so patient-focused. My daughter-in-law had a tubal pregnancy and he was so… very caring, as this was a very-wanted baby and he was patient, told her he felt like it was probably tubal-it was too early to visualize on ultrasound, but he was agreeable with waiting a little longer to be sure, not rushing to do a d&c as another gyn had practically pushed on her when she had a previous miscarriage. (md was CERTAIN it was an empty sac with no "fetal matter"-as she called my grandchild, but d-i-l waited and still miscarried later on at home, but there WAS a fetus passed whole, so the dr was pushing an abortion on her.) When it was obviously not viable (her tube ruptured) he was so very kind and gentle with her.I'm a nurse, so I have spent MORE than my fair share of time around doctors and have never known a more caring and kind MD.I hope to never have to see anyone else for gyn. again. :D
