Dr. Larry Tim Wong, DO

Dr Wong is a very good surgeon!! My surgery went well. I had to go in early to follow up with him due to urine retention. Sometimes this happens during surgery for gallbladder. I have anxiety and should of mentioned this with my first visit. But unfortunately I did not!! Dr Wong told me that I needed a catheter. Well this set me up for anxiety the fact that he told me it had to me done and it was for my own good. I understood that but he didn't understand my issues with my anxiety. At his office they dont have anything for anxiety. So my husband and I left to the ER where I did get a shot for anxiety. And was able to get the catheter. This was Dr. Wong's idea to also go to the ER. Dr Wong didn't understand how server my issues were. He said I needed my primary doctor to work with me on finding the right medication. He wouldn't let me explain that we were working on it. My primary Dr recommended me to Dr. Wong because she knew he did good work. As a reminder if you have anxiety… explain to your surgeon ahead of time.

WONDERFUL DOCTOR AND STAFF

The doctor seemed ok, but his staff is very unprofessional ... Nurses will not treat you respectful and argue among themselves in front of patients. And the staff has no sense if urgency.

my son was recently in the trauma unit at panama city due to mva, the worse experience of our lives- the worst patient care i have ever witnessed. I HAVE BEEN IN THE MEDICAL FIELD FOR 40 YRS WITNESSED MUCH- BUT I HAVE TO ADMIT I AM IN AWE OF THE INHUMANE TREATMENT OF A PATIENT UNABLE TO CARE FOR THEMSELVES

Dr.Wong was fantastic. I came in filled out paper work which by the way was not 500 pages or more like most doctors office. I was called back by the nurse. Then Dr.wong came and talked to me. He not only made me feel comfortable but he took time to explain to me the Pro's and Con's of my surgery and let me decide wether i wanted to continue with it or not have it. He is one of the best doctors there is in Panama City, Fl and i would recommend him to all i know.

Dr. Wong is an incredible surgeon. He is treating my mom who has stomach cancer. He did an amazing job getting the tumor out and has checked in with us every day to answer questions and take the time to explain to us what the next steps are. We trust him completely and even the nurses have said he is one of the most thorough physicians that is at the hospital. They have also said it's fantastic working with him and I even had 2 nurses come in and tell me that if they needed surgery for them or their mother's, they would not hesitate to go to Dr. Wong. He has been just fabulous.

OK doctor but short on patience and lacking in bedside manner at times. Better than some but pretty small time. He needs an office update.
