Dr Lars P. Kaine, MD

He's a great listener and very knowledgeable

I took I too am surprised by what I've read here because Dr. Kaine is by far my all-time favorite GP! He is extremely personable and cares deeply for his patients. Perhaps as with any physician we as patients absolutely must advocate for ourselves and meet with the doctor more than once or even twice. I'm truly sorry for any suffering person who posted a bad experience, but I've been seeing him for years and he cares for even the slightest detail pertaining not just to my health but about how my health affects the rest of my life. I've got a complicated disease and I feel that I am in the very best of hands with him - and this is after years of searching. I hope the very best of healthcare for those who posted here in the future.

He charged me over $500 for an annual physical. My original doctor was not available when I scheduled the appointment and he was the only available doctor at that time. The ease of appointment with this doctor means something.

I had a really good experience with Dr. Kaine. He spent more time with me than any other doctor has at Virginia Mason and was thoughtful and helpful. It also does not hurt that he is good looking.

I went to this doctor regarding a sudden blinding headache which was not normal for me. He did a physical exam assured me I did not have a tumor or mass and sent me home with prednisone and assurance he would follow up. He did not and when I contacted him he said he did not know why I was not better. Two weeks later I went to evergreen ER due to ongoing intense pain. They immediately did the standard Procedure CT in cases such as blinding sudden onset headaches and found I had an extremely large hemorrhaging mass in my right frontal lobe that required emergency surgery. Every physician I saw after that said I should have had an MRI or at least a CT scan based on my symptoms when I went to see Dr Kaine. Fortunately for me I was able to find the mass and have it removed but unfortunately it was in crisis mode at that point it in part due to Dr. Kaine's incompetence.

I am quite surprised to read the other review here and see the low rating for Dr Kaine. I have seen him quiet a few times now and the first time I ever had an appointment with him I was amazed by his great bedside manner and his undivided attention and time he spent with me in my appointment. He has continued to impress me. My mother had come with me to a couple of my appointments and liked him so much that she switched from her Dr of a few years, my mother is also a nurse and was impressed with Dr Kaine. Also, my boyfriend who has not seen a Dr in 10 years or so liked Dr Kaine enough that he is now planning on getting an annual exam. It actually really bothers me to see the bad review here. Please do not listen to this other person, perhaps they reviewed the wrong Dr?
