Dr. Lars Svensson

I flew from "out-of-town" to the Cleveland Clinic to have Dr. Lars Svenson work on me. Where three hospitals in my hometown area wanted to replace a part of my aorta (the aneurysm) Dr. Lars Svensson was able to repair my aorta. Dr. Svensson also replaced my aortic valve, which was damaged five year prior, due to a battle with leukemia.Today, my heart is functioning at 90% efficiency, I am taking minimal dosages of a beta blocker and diuretic for blood pressure and exercise as vigorously as I please. I do not know how to thank Dr. Lars Svensson, six years later, other than to write this review. Prior to the operation, I asked Dr. Svensson why he should perform the surgery (there are other competent surgeons elsewhere) -- he simply stated that his team was the very best and post-op care is just as important as pre-op and the surgery itself -- his humility was very refreshing. Thank you for a great quality of life Dr. Lars Svensson!!!

Great Doctor-- I had an Aortic Valve replacement (bovine), Aortic repair, triple by pass, and ablation for afib. He and his staff are the best! Kept me fully informed before and after sugery. Excelent follow up.

Great doctor, really has done a lot of research and writing in his field. I had aortic valve surgery five years ago. My cardiologist says the valve looks fantastic. Your surgeon Dr. Swenson did a great job.
