Dr. Lashonda Watts Soma, MD

I recently saw Dr. Soma at Regions Breast Health Center. She was excellent and had the best bedside manner I have ever experienced. I highly recommend Dr. Soma.

I had a concerning lump on my breast in 2015 and visited Dr. Soma in Grand Forks, ND for further evaluation. Dr. Soma analyzed the situation thoroughly and explained what she saw to me during each step of the process. She correctly assessed via ultrasound, examination and conversation that it did not need further evaluation. Dr. Soma was very professional and kind throughout the visit, and I would recommend her to any family member or friend in need of her specialty.

I saw Dr. Soma in Grand Forks when I went in for my yearly mammogram. She was very knowledgeable answered all my questions and made me feel comfortable with having to do a biopsy! Would definitely tell my friends and family to use Dr. Soma as their radiologist.

I saw Dr. Soma when she was working in Grand Forks, ND. I had made a mammogram appointment because I had felt a lump. The Mammo and ultrasound were done on the same day and after both exams were completed, Dr. Soma came in to speak with me about my results. She was very kind and professional. She is very knowledgeable and explained (in terms I could understand) that my breast lump was a cyst and nothing to be concerned about. She was very pleasant and I would absolutely recommend her to my friends and family.

In 2017 after her reading my ultrasound at a North Dakota Clinic having never met her before & while I was alone & wearing a paper gown she stated “ you have cancer & in a situation like this we need to do a biopsy”. I asked who would do it, she huffed well I would. Giving that diagnosis with an ultrasound is not heard of & was very unprofessional. It should have been approached differently, the seriousness of having a biopsy to look into a mass that is noted etc. NOT you have cancer. Obviously I did not want to see her again & asked for a second opinion. By asking for the second opinion I could clearly see how upset she was with me for asking. I fled to another clinic.
