Dr LaSonya Roberts-Lopez

Dr. Roberts diagnosed me with interstitial cystitis and frightened me into taking treatments which involved injections in the bladder. Also prescribed meds that took my hair out. Received a second opinion after she was so rude and disrespectful during a visit and was informed that I did NOT have IC. He had much better credentials and studied IC during his internship. When I confronted Dr. Roberts-Lopez, she said “anyone can make a mistake.”

I recently had a laparoscopic, robotic assisted hysterectomy and prolapse repair done by Dr. Roberts-Lopez. She is very direct and professional, and answered all of my questions patiently. Nearly a week after my surgery I experienced a complication that had nothing to do with her work. She was on call and told me to go to the ER. When she arrived she took over, telling the nurses to give me more pain medicine (which I badly needed) and insisting on finding a surgeon who could do my second surgery lapoaroscopically instead of the 7-8 inch cut down my body the surgeon in the ER told me I would most likely have to have. The general surgeon Dr. Robert-Lopez found for me was able to go in laparoscopically and do the repair with one stitch. Dr. Roberts-Lopez called me at home to check on me after I was released and was very kind. She is not warm and fuzzy, (not what I want in someone who is going to be operating on me), she is direct and professional and very, very knowledgeable. I would… trust her completely if I ever had to have surgery again.

I can't begin to say enough good about Dr. Roberts-Lopez and her team. By far one of the best medical/surgical experiences I have ever had. Not only does she "know her stuff" but her bedside manner is amazing. I highly recommend her.

I am a patient currently a patient. I have not been happy with office staff. The waits are way too long. She is overbooked. None of the staff appear to be very happy. They are short and curt in their responses. Cheryl the tech nurse was awesome. the PA not impressed.

Dr. Lopez gave me the only hope for my problems that I had received from anyone . Her professional , yet so normally caring and friendly Personality I found unique!

Dr. Roberts performed pelvic floor surgery on me. I have been in pain for 7 years since. Two subsequent ]surgeries were necessary to have the mesh removed. The surgeons reported that the mesh was "incorporated much too tightly." My life was ruined. Dr. Roberts expressed no concern nor did she ever work to adequately understand or empathize with me for the pain she left me in. She worked hard to blame it on my emotional health. I admit I became emotionally fragile and had a difficult time dealing with it. Her post operative exams were incredibly painful. Exams by other physicians never resulted in the same excruciating pain. I will NEVER be the same, thanks to her. I am so sorry I ever met her.

First, I must compliment the nursing staff who are working with a doctor who should not be practicing medicine. She misdiagnosed me with IC WHICH I DID NOT HAVE! When I expressed concerns about the medication prescribed, she told me "do not come running to me if you cannot hold your urine". Three doctors told me I did not have IC. Rude and does not care about the patient. Run, do not walk away. Filing malpractice suit against her.

Very impersonal. Lack of appropriate follow up care. Does not take ownership of problems or address concerns that I have. Rude.

I've never come across such a crass doctor before! She never explained procedures and her billing codes are an absolute joke. $400 for urine test I didn't even ask for or need?? She also charged me out of pocket for something my insurance company paid and I spent months trying to recover my money. If I had the time, I would have filed a complaint on her with the medical board and HIPPA. She basically scolded me in front of other patients regarding my diagnosis. I wasn't even asking for a polite doctor, just amazed at how rude and rough she is.

Dr. Roberts is an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend her
