Friendly, personable, conservative practioner, takes time to explain.

I waited two and a half hrs. to see the doctor on my frist visit. That was over 16 years ago. I was a M.A. for manys years. I have worked for 5 doctors, a N.P. and as a Oakland nurse. I was very inpressed with Dr. Hites when he himself took my B.P. most doctors want everything done for them. I've been very sick the last few years. He was always there for me. I hope he never, ever retires!!!!!

Extraordinarily caring, supportive doctor. His patients, and time spent with them, are more important to him than making money. When our previous doctor retired suddenly, another health care professional immediately recommended Dr. Hites as the physician she would go to if she needed care. We've been very pleased with his ability to answer our questions, diagnose our illnesses.

Dr. Hites has managed to misdianose a gall bladder and lupus in my case and managed to keep my ex husband in the hospital for a week trying to diagnose kidney stones. He has no bedside manner and doesn't check in properly with the hospital or patient when hospitalized. He's flippant and arrogant.
