Dr. Latasha Miranda Burgess, MD

Dr. Burgess has been the Primary Care Physician for both my husband and I for some time. We are very pleased to have found her and feel safe in her care. She makes us feel relaxed and interested in our well being. Dr. Burgess listens to us and explains procedures and options. She is very insightful and stays abreast of current medical trends and news. Her exceptional office staff reflect the outstanding work being done there. Dr Burgess is nothing short of brilliant. We are so lucky to have found her. Dr. Burgess, thank you so much!

Dr. Latasha Burgess has mis diagnosed me with Sphyllis sent me public clinic stating I need to go there to get treated . They tested me and said she was wrong. Not only did I nearly lose my fiancé because I thought he gave me an std she never called me and apologized for her error of misdiagnosing me. I went to her last week because I have white spots in my throat (strep throat) and she didn't even look in my mouth she asked me how do you know you have step throat I told her my son just had it and I see white spots in my throat. She said I will send amoxicillin to pharmacy for you. I left the doctors office and went to work. After work (because I went to work after her appt) I went to pick up antibiotics (this was a Tuesday) CVS said they is no medication for me. The next day I called doctors office and spoke to nurse and she said she will get medication sent to pharmacy. She never did, I called every single day and left messages and spoke MA, Meanwhile my throat is on fire I had to go… to urgent care that Sat to get treatment and prescription. The person that does billing has no clue how to read claims form. She calls me and says we didn't get paid by Cigna and I can not get anyone on the phone from your insurance please call and see why they are not paying. I instantly call insurance on the phone and get some on right away and they say that the contract they have with Dr. Burgess my visit is $30 co pay and $64 for visit which was paid by Cigna and nothing is left. I call medical assistant back and explain that to her and she said we are not in contract with Cigna. With makes absolutely no sense because Dr. Burgess in in network with Cigna which means she has a contract. That office is totally incompetent and needs to be shut down. I am very dissatisfied with the service and Dr. Burgess who can not simply treat steep throat is incompetent!

MONEY IS MORE OF A CONCERN THAN PATIENTS HEALTH

The only good Thung I can say about her office is the ease of getting an appointment, her indifference to her patients is horrible, in the room for 5 minutes, has to check her computer to do Google search for all your dx, her medical.assistant is the same! Put me in a room and had not changed the paper on the exam table!!! Ugh, as a nurse and a former medical assistant, I am appalled at the care received here, attempted to charge me for a follow-up and my xray weren't even available, will not speak with you, defers everything to her office manager who speaks in such bad broken English and has a horrible attitude to go along with it. Had BEEN HAVING A LOW HEMPGLOBIN FOR 3 MONTHS, ONLY REASON I HAD FOLLOWUP FROM THAT WAS BECAUSE I WENT TO GET REFILL ON A RX AND SAW A DOCTOR THAT WAS COVERING FOR HER. ..TURNS OUT I HAD BEEN HAVING A GI BLEED...MAN COULD HAVE DISASTROUS!!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PHYSICIAN. ..FIND SOMEONE ELSE!!

Dr. Burgess is an excellent doctor. She is very thorough and takes her time with her patients. Her beside manner is superb. I would highly recommend her.

I was seen by Dr Burgess 1 time as a referral for a disability claim. she was rude to me, the only thing she even dis was ask me to bend over to see if i could touch my toes, told me to get on exam table touched my stomach then said you can get up now. I have disc problems in my back I could not sit up from the table. I called for help, she came back in and jerked up the back of exam table left the room did not say bye or even care. then for my claim she said in her review I could life 20 lbs, sit for 8 hrs a day stand for 4 hrs, how would she know this, I did not do any of these things in her office, she didn't spend more than 5 minutes in the room with me. I would never advise anyone to ever see tho m.d, She is not accurate or caring.

She is very nice and professional. However out of the visits that I have made only one was a 10-15 minute wait. A normal wait at this office is around 30 minutes. Her diagnoses are quick but accurate. I have never received a follow up after any visit. Also they do not issue reminders for yearly physicals or paps.

Dr. Burgess is wonderful. It's usually a little crowded, but that is because of how good she is. her best asset is she listens to the patients. I trust her with the health of my enire family. And the fact that she atays open until 8pm on Thursdays to accomadate the patients who have to work and go to school is awesome.
