Dr. Lateefah Kibibi Watford, MD

Dr. Watford is a wonderful psychiatrist. She made me laugh and feel heard. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking help and answers.

she was very dismissive of the symptoms/ concerns I complained about with a certain medication she was recommending I take and refused to prescribe the type of medication I had always been taking! She agreed to put it on my file, but did it in a way that insurance would not cover it and would require me to pay $400 for it...a medication I had always recived from my other doctor for just $60 (mind you it’s within the same insurance company!!) She knows I can’t pay that amount (I’m a college student, who does not have 400 readily available) it’s honestly just vindictive and mean, why become a doctor if you are unable to empathize with your patients. She told me she thought I needed the medication but didn’t think it was necessary for insurance to cover it because SHE felt I didn’t have enough clinical need for it and couldn’t possibly be expiriencing the side effects I was having on the brand she suggested as if SHE is in MY body going through what I’M going through. mind you...every… other doctor has prescribed me the medication with full coverage with no problem. just lousy, honestly. If you want to feel heard, accommodated and understood..go to someone else.
