Dr. Laura Ann Biernat, MD

Dr Biernat was the primary on my bone marrow transplant team in 1993 at Harper Hospital in Detroit. I was her first BMT as a primary. I had lost most of my hearing and balance and she was just fantastic at communicating with me and making sure I understood the process I was going through. Just a great Doctor!

Dr Biernat is very caring and takes as much time as needed to explain your treatment. Her staff is caring and are very helpful with your appointments.

Not at all sure how the Dr is, but since I believe staff reflects their employers patient relations ideology, the other comments i have read describing the Dr. as cold would make sense. How unfortunate that medicine has become so cold and disconnected. I's not enough that you have to manage serious illness, but attitudes too. Shame on them.

She takes the time with every patient, you don’t feel rushed during your appointment.

Dr. Biernat is pretty great. She spends time with her patients, explains things thoroughly, and offers suggestions when you need them. Her office is well-run and efficient. She is a caring person.

She is above and beyond a rating of "excellent". Dr. Biernat is without question one of the top Oncologists in the country, and I have no qualms in saying that I truly believe any other patient under her care would have the same opinion.

Dr. Biernat spends quality time with her patients. She is well informed and strives to educate her patients. Dr. Biernat is not test/screen happy, but is very thorough and exhausts every possibility. I was diagnosed 10 years ago with breast cancer and she has been my rock. I can not say enough good things about her. She is the best!

Dr. Biernat is a wonderful doctor. She takes the time to explain everything to you and spends as much time with you as needed. She never "rushes" you. She is very personable and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Dr. Biernat to anyone diagnosed with breast cancer.The staff and nurses are the best. They make you feel more like friends than patients.

I was so impressed with Dr. Beirnat on my first visit. She spent a great deal of time talking to me and my family. She looked me straight in the eyes and spoke with compassion and confidence. She listened to my concerns and answered all my questions. I was extremely impressed,especially in the face of difficult circumstances.

Always willing to listen and figure out solutions. Very warm and compassionate doctor. The office staff is excellent. When you have any tests the staff is sensitive to wanting the results as soon as possible and they always deliver. The "get" it!!
