Dr. Laura Borell

Laura Borell is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 10 years of experience in the mental health field. Laura offers a compassionate, non-judgmental, and strengths-focused approach in her work. Each client is different, and she meets people where they are, while also bringing many years of training and experience that inform her approach to collaboration. Laura completed both her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology and her Master of Education (MEd) at Winthrop University and is currently working on her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Counseling Supervision and Education. She is trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Laura has lived in two countries and has, as a result, a unique outlook on life and a non-judgmental flair for meeting clients where they are. This coupled with 10+ years working in a community mental health center allows for a quick response and enthusiasm level.
